Daniels did not respond to a request for comment. Daniels isn't just a fringe no-hoper. Vice News reported that he has been endorsed by Michael Flynn, and spent time with Donald Trump at the former president's New Jersey golf course this summer.

Oh, well if he's spending time when solid intellectuals like Trump and Flynn it would be outrageous to call the guy "fringe."

Because republicans have taken the radical into their mainstream doesn't mean it's not radical.

Well, yeah.

In the absence of any serious pushback they will keep pushing forward.

Now granted for them forward actually means backwards but it's the same basic principle.

Some are starting small at school boards.

Others, not so much.

I do think the media is giving these idiots more coverage than they warrant.

And I'm betting it is going to be from CNN/MSNBC. Fox News will bury these stories. They don't want the insurgents taking over the party anymore.

Riddle's campaign announcement was the subject of some mockery in the summer, after he announced he was running against Ann Kuster, a Democratic US congresswoman, in the 2022 midterm elections.
In an interview with NBC10 Boston, however, Riddle appeared not to know which office Kuster held

Jan 6th insurrection and terrorism charges = zero.

The vast majority of those who have been charged and have pleaded guilty admitted to "improperly parading, demonstrating or picketing".

Oh my.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

You do realize that the Republican party has been taken over whole-cloth by the worst of its base, right? Hell, even the, "keep the quiet part quiet," members of the old guard have to double back to keep the Q-nuts from eating their faces on the regular. Folks like McConnell are starting to fear for their jobs if they don't keep the racist yokels happy. They can pretend that they don't now follow the will of the ignorant mob of fascists but the proof is in the pudding. And the pudding tastes like jackboots.

They need to lose...not only by a little, but by a LOT.  They need to lose by Mondale margins. Only then can conservatives be put back where they belong...back under a rock

The beauty of the system is that you don't need any qualifications for any office and you can get elected. I mean, at one point, parties wanted to be respectable and wouldn't put the absolute dumbest MFers they could find on the ballot using THEIR brand...but ever since the GOP gave up on America, well, this is what we get.

It's what happens when you put too much faith in "the system" protecting everything and forget that the system is only a concept; it's made up of people, and people will do whatever they can get away with.

Nah. Here there are 2 challengers to the incumbent James Lankford. He's a run of the mill Baptist appointed Senator.

One challenger is a state senator who is full on Trumper.
Other is a local pastor who has gone full anti-vaccine mandate Trumper.

Lankford is polling in the primary at 70%, pastor at 20%, State Senator at 3%. 7% undecided.

They might be able to snipe state leg seats that tend to go unchallenged but now the GOP is going to be slapping down these fools.

The House? We'll see. Depends who controls the NRCC money.

Youngkin is running away from Trump because he's hurting his numbers.

Check out the Ohio senate Republicans likely to take Rob Portman's seat.
I'm likely getting either idiot JD Vance, or attention monster Josh Mandel.

There was a quaint time in our nation when I was just a young Mix, where you could afford to give the benefit of the doubt to Conservatives/Republicans. If a GOP President somehow staggered into a German Cemetery where members of the infamous Waffen-SS were buried, you could just assume he was tone-deaf and not a full on Nazi Sympathizer with fascistic aims. Looking at the picture of Teddy Daniels in the article, it would be easy to assume he would make a trek to a German Cemetery housing dead Waffen-SS as part of a coming of age type journey. Like the old timey days of taking the Grand-Tour of Europe at 21 or making the Hajj to Mecca as a Muslim. The dude doesn't just look like a Nazi duck, or quack like a Nazi duck. He is a nazi duck.

I think given the nature of our world today, with the GOP Youth marching with torches chanting Jews Will Not Replace Us, and the calls for violence by the RightWing propagandists, like Charlie Kirk or Tucker Carlson, like modern day Julius Streichers, it is best to not give the benefits of the doubt to the GOP. These modern day Nazis will make their moves no differently than those older Nazis did. Who also tried a putsch before they realized they could actually get into office via elections before they slammed the door behind them and took over. Anyone who votes for these people are voting for the modern equivalent of Nazis. The cousins and kindreds of the type of guy who asks wholeheartedly of Charlie Kirk 'When do we get to shoot people we don't agree with?'

Yes. The past four years have been a lesson in how many checks and balance that were supposed to exist for the good of the country were never really laws but props meant to make us feel good.

I am particularly livid that a decisive voice for the 25th Amendment can't be brought to bear even when a leader directly works to tear down the Republic in its entirety. I don't plan to ever vote for a particular party again in any role in my lifetime for that very reason.
