Tom Marvolo Bombadil: how will farmers react to paying more for such measures which do not add to their bottom line

They're the world's biggest welfare queens already; what's another goddamn subsidy gonna hurt?

BTW, the 'US farmer' is rapidly becoming a myth. Most of the best land is owned by corporations. Sharecropper is probably more accurate now.

This reminds me I need to order the cochinillo for Thanksgiving.

Good.  Help to cull the males before they grow up to be bulls that we don't need.  (As the dairy cows need to get pregnant to produce milk)

I'd wish that they'd create the equivalent of 'grass fed beef' for pigs, so I know that they've been fed real food scraps and other waste products, so I know I'm helping the environment.   (Trash fed pork?  Not sure what to call it)

I don't understand why the gubbermint wants to regulate coal plants, when cows fart. Those two things are obviously the same. My common sense makes me smarter than any expert.

That's what I hear my neighbors saying.

My wife loves those things and I eat them a few times a month.  I would get a lot more behind "climatarianism" if I believed for a second that the rich/politicians/elites would also do it.

I don't get why some people shiat all over the seaweed solution. The study suggested even a tiny amount of seaweed had the huge methane reduction effect.

Impossible Burgers have twice the saturated fat as equivalent beef patties. This is something I learned recently. Beyond is still the same.

This. Also why cows don't smoke.

I am Cow
eating grass
methane gas comes out my ass
and out my muzzle when I belch
Oh, the ozone layer is thinner
from the outcome of my dinner
I am Cow, I am Cow
I've got gas.

The "It isn't my perfect solution so burn it all down" position has been the bane of the Democratic party since the 70s.   If it doesn't shine in my perfect way, but gets me 95% of what I want, I'll roadblock and derail it all for the crime of not being my definition of perfection.

In the meantime, the current insane GOP death-grift cult continues to gather forces to ensconce their power permanently.

That must be part of the FUD that "Big Meat" or whatever puts out.  It isn't true.  However, both Beyond and Impossible DO have a problem with higher sodium than a normal beef patty, so you might need to cut down on the fries in order to keep the sodium under control.

Here's a link from late last year.  Beef vs Impossible vs Beyond
