the number of people i meet who have gone through divorce twice and are looking to get married again just floors me especially when they obviously haven't done anything to better understand their failings or what they really want from a partner.

whenever Mrs Scarf would ask me "if i die will you get remarried?" i could honestly reply with "hell no!"  then she asks why, "once is more than enough" i would say   i think she is happy i wouldn't but not so much about the why.

Hygiene has always been an issue in the UK. It's very crowded there & peeps rely on a protective "stench zone" to ensure personal space.
I'm still a practitioner of this even though I'm presently a work-at-home schmuck in Canucklestan.

On a positive note, I was able to readily adapt the "pooping in the streets" habit to the wooded outdoors without too much culture shock.

My ex friend who was on marriage 3 by the age of 24 nods his head in approval.

Yeah but pooping in the woods just doesn't have the same communal bonding experience.

Duke and his solo career were basically born of the pain of his failed marriages.  They made him a superstar.

Now in his dotage, crippled, miserable and alone, his inability to hold on to a wife is costing him dearly.  46 million (!) when they split, and now perhaps his Miami home too.

It's like an epic tragedy, really.  Someone should write a song about it.
