Potato milk? Isn't that just vodka without the alcohol?

Oat Milk, for people that enjoy paying a 5500% (yes I calculated it) markup on the same stuff 2 aisles over.

Harry Wagstaff: Potato milk? Isn't that just vodka without the alcohol?

Nah, it's really runny mashed potatoes

It has to be clear to be vodka

"POTATO MILK AND 'CLIMATARIANISM'"

And we're done here..
Twenty-twenty-too is shaping up to be a long, dreadful year for good food.

To be clear; if you're overpaying for potato milk, it is Stoli, not Skol.

Potato milk? What?

No. Potatoes are for mashing with butter, cream, and chives. Plopped on a plate next to my salisbury steak and canned green beans. /s

Also, vodak.

One of the biggest food trends!

Yes, when you go from 1 case sold to 100 cases sold, that's a massive percentage increase, but it's still an also-ran in the fake milk business which is a tiny subset of milk sales in an era when overall milk sales are declining for almost two decades and farmers are dumping milk rather than lose money on paying someone to take it.

Potato milk is a new product that is being promoted as a food trend.  You never heard of it before this article.  That was the point.

They're just trying to soften the blow of our future gruel-based diet (especially with the way meat prices are skyrocketing).

I've seen eyes on a potato but never nipples.

Gruel based diets fueled the building of entire ancient civilizations, e.g., Greece, for centuries.  One Pandemic food rediscovery around here is the gruel known as malted milk which is delicious and kind of reassuring in its own way.

And here I just always assumed 'Vodak' was a filter; TIL

I had fake milk once and never really cared about it. I think more people would like it if it's sweeten, fruits added, and frozen.

Bingo.  Behind the vapid mystique of "food culture" lies corporate marketing departments trying to squeeze one more dollar from gullible DINKs.

It's hysterical that people don't imagine there's anything they should change to help address global issues.

/And I mean "hysterical" in the sense of "ungovernable emotion". A clawing frenzy as if buried alive. The last spasm of striking out before the lethargy of despair settles in.

Cof-Fee.

The trends they mentioned aren't really new.
Canned and bottled cocktails already exist.
Umami flavors. If you eat Japanese food or any other Asian cuisine that uses soy sauce or fish sauce, you're eating food with umami flavors. Italian food with tomatoes and parmesan have umami flavors as well.
Climatarianism is nothing more than eating more foods that are locally grown instead of food that's been grown in a different country or continent.

The rest of the article is twaddle and just shows that people are mindless and will follow close to anything on social media so they appear like they're trendy and cool. If your mind is blown away because someone on TikTok or Instagram or Snapchat used feta on pasta or cooked eggs with pesto, you sound like an idiot.

I have found the most difficult part of milking potatoes is differentiating the nipples from the eyes.

No.

That was easy...

Those aged between 18 and 34 are likely to stay in more - a sign that the "homebody" stereotype isn't confined to the older generations, Waitrose said in its report.

That is because going outside requires focus, decision making, commitment, focus, physical action, putting the device down, focus and maybe a shower.

(I sound old, but 1/2 the people I work with are 20 something and what a bunch of whining, flabby, lazy, indecisive smart guys they are...)
