That Twitter feed needs a thread reader, but it is a long, ongoing horror show. Wow, Snyder really needs to be forced to sell. Jerry Jones and Al Davis look like saints compared to Snyder.

Here's the thread reader version https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1452749553795543044.html TL;DR: The Redskins have been a horror show of mistreating fans, staff, etc. for the duration of Snyder's ownership.

As a lifelong Iggles fan living in the DC area, I LOVE watching Snyder flailing around. The crazy thing is
when the Birds, Cowboys and Giants have sucked, the fans get mad. Protest, ticket shredding, rage posting.

In DC, it is really just sad. No one I know cares... and these are lifelong NoVa / DC residents. No one cares
about the Chesapeake River Valley Indigenous People's Football Squadron. It's odd after watching them win
for a long time.

Still makes me smile.

Wow...

I didn't realize he made his fortune off of "slamming". I distinctly remember writing a Current Events report on the subject when I was in 5th Grade. It appears that he's a horrendous businessman and he's made every single cent of his fortune from blatantly scamming people.

With the Cowboys, Giants, and Eagles, fans know that they can be good, which makes them sucking quite upsetting. It's the glimmers of hope and competence that make it rage-inducing. The WFT has sucked outright since Snyder took over, with no signs of them ever getting better. The last time I remember the WFT having hope was with RGIII, whom the team destroyed. Since then, it has just been depressing, knowing the team is unlikely to ever get better as long as Snyder is the owner. It's similar to the depression of Raiders fans while Al Davis was alive. Add on to that a history of Snyder mistreating the fans every chance he gets, and the fans just don't care. The fans get mad about the Cowboys, Eagles, and Giants because they still care and know that management does respond to fan rage. It's a sad, depressing cycle.

I can't believe I'm saying this as a former Cowboys fan, but Jerry Jones at least comes across as a fun-loving lecherous sexually-harassing scumbag who actually enjoys running his organization into the ground. Dan Snyder is a miserable bastard who can't even find joy in his ruination of a once-proud organization.

"2009: I sue 73-year-old grandmother-and five-decade Redskins season-ticketholder Pat Hill. She could not afford to keep up payments on the 10-year, $50,000-plus club seats contract she'd signed "

"2006: I illegally cut down trees protected by the National Park Service for an unobstructed view of the Potomac from my Montgomery County home. I retained Mike Sitrick, who helped with damage control for the Michael Jackson family after the pop star's death and Paris Hilton......after one of her arrests, for PR help. I later tried to destroy the park ranger's career for doing his job."

"Sept. 2006: I sold expired peanuts to fans at FedExField, specifically in royal blue and white 5 oz. bags adorned with the Independence Air logo. Problem: The airline had gone under about a year earlier... The supplier told Washington City Paper that it stopped shipping the airline's nuts "before Independence Air went out of business." A spokesman for the Peanut Council told City Paper that to prevent rancidity, the recommended shelf life of a foil bag of out-of-shell peanuts...was "about three months.""

Until Snyder gets a taxpayer funder stadium, he wont sell. It will be his final and greatest NFL grift. He NEEDS a
stadium to be able to complete.... and sell within a year of it opening.

This list really makes you wonder what Trump would have done if allowed to buy the Buffalo Bills.

I'm sure it's probably in the thread but he almost single handedly bankrupted and almost killed Six Flags. How can you fark up a money printing factory like Six Flags to the point of ruin? Dan Snyder found a way.

My buddy works maintenance for them, he said it took about 2 years for the new owners to undo the damage and start printing money again. It runs its self, just make sure no one dies and the rides work.

It's in the thread and they mentioned that Six Flags' second biggest investor at the time was Bill Gates, and that Gates effectively lost $122M due to Snyder's stewardship.

Dan Snyder and Donald Trump: twin sons of different mothers?

Snyder doesn't have to care about the fanbase.  DC is a city full of transplants and lobbyists, tickets to sporting events are always going to be a big deal.

Sons of gluttony and greed.

Brothers to lust and lechery

Change the team name to the 'Trumps' and change the color scheme to red and gold.

Dan Snyder also killed Dick Clark's legacy by thinking that viral video "Bloopers" reboot with Dean Cain was a good idea.

When I was in DC for my brother's wedding about 10 years ago, there were still some locals who considered themselves fans. I don't know how they feel about the team now, but it wouldn't surprise me if their fandom is on hold.

With the Ravens essentially being next door, I'm surprised WFT has any fans at all.

Buffalo would have been the first team to fold in the NFL since the 1940s. He would have run it into the ground, sold everything in the stadium but the fittings, and by the time they were able to litigate his removal the team's assets would have been bought for pennies on the dollar and re-established somewhere else.

Why they didn't see through Snyder is beyond me. They approved him with no resistance. Money talks, I guess, but there were other suitors for the franchise.

Snyder is the primary, but not only, reason I thank God for the Rooney family owning the team my family cheers for. Good people making good decisions makes it easy to be a fan.

Sterling is the former owner of the LA Clippers. He was given a lifetime ban from the NBA and was forced to sell the team after recordings of him making racist comments became public. Even before that, he was considered one of the worst team owners among the four major US/North American sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL).

Dan Snyder also had a national forest cut down to improve his view and then got a forest ranger fired who objected to it.

What, because of all the stories of him acting amorally that don't exist?  He might have screwed a couple coaches out of their paychecks, but other than that...

Al Davis may have been an overly-meddling owner, had a fake accent, and pissed a lot of people off, looked like a zombie in his final years, but not sure why he's even in the running for your list there.

He did, in fact, do more to advance social justice in sports than perhaps any other person in American history...

/he DID, however, kind of create Jerry Jones, so there's that...

To be fair- he was a crazy abrasive asshole even if he did ultimately advance good over evil. I guess you could call him the Larry Flynt of the AFL/NFL.

And yeah, I'm not afraid to admit that I miss that nutjob son-of-a-biatch from Oakland. He was a fun villain for Kansas City.

That's actually a pretty good analogy.

Except one was a sleaze merchant, marketing and peddling filth, and the other owned a magazine.
