Yeah, that was a pretty cool moment.  I love PTI and always have.  I guess I'm in the demographic that tunes into ATH and PTI and really nothing else.

even if it eventually led to the "embrace debate" culture that has subsumed sports programming today.

It didn't.  That was going strong on ESPN and on radio stations throughout the country before PTI came along.  PTI is different because it's plain that these guys are actually longtime friends.

Kornheiser and Wilbon are the Statler and Waldorf of ESPN...and I definitely enjoy PTI.

Saying something nice about ESPN employees... Obama truly is history's greatest monster.

....although Kornheiser sucked on Monday Night Football.

i still refer to my computer as the email machine because of tony.

in their defense, it's less an oval and more of an ellipse.

Yeah, Kornheiser and Wilbon were doing that whole thing in the sportswriters' office at the Washington Post for years before they brought it to TV.  That's why it's the only one of those ESPN shows that actually works and is worth watching.

Now if he could only render Stephen A. Smith speechless...

That was more ESPN's fault putting him there. That role didn't play to his strengths at all, and unless your name is John Madden you don't take a gig that sends you all over the country when you have a fear of flying.

So good to see Mr. Obama doing his riff.  Good stuff.

Yeah, outside of live games and the occasional 30 for 30, PTI is the only time I'll put on ESPN. It was just a really well designed show, and I say that as someone who doesn't like the hot take sports talk format. Despite their show format, I don't think they fall into that trap.

Wow its probably been 15 years since I watched PTI (aka how long it has been since I had cable). The only sports discussion show I ever watched because the two guys were entertaining.

It always annoyed me that TSN would only air part of their show. At least they said goodbye to us Canadians rather than just being cut off.

They put the show up as a podcast each day. Try that.

Also these two actually know sports and not just the fluffy surface stuff.

For those of you who enjoy PTI, might I recommend the Tony Kornheiser podcast. It's pretty good for the most part (his son is a little much) and he generally has good guests.

WHY IS YELLING AT ME AND then not yelling AT ME A THING!

Not my cuppa, but ya'll do you.

If you like PEOPLE YELLING AT YOU ABOUT THE NATIONAL Football League and what's going wrong with that, then YOU CAN ENJOY IT!

I enjoy a healthy debate, and these guys have some, but why the yelling?

Me too.

The little documentary about the start of PTI is pretty good too.
