I saw both these bands at the same show way back in like 97? 98? one had an album called carnival of chaos and the other had an album called carnival of carnage (still not sure which is which tbh) so it was the chaos and carnage tour of something.

anyway gwar ruled as always and ICP was meh, but they got the crowd going for sure

That's amazingly touching.  Who'd'a thunk!
Never seen either, but GWAR's Onion AV club "She-Bop>Blitzkrieg Bop" is astounding.

Love me some GWAR.  I'll skip the ICP one.

Around that time period, they'd play yearly Halloween shows together in the Detroit area for a number of years at the local metal-venue.

Don't know, don't care. But I've thought Insane Clown Posse is the best name for a band since Smashing Pumpkins.

Carnival of Chaos is a Gwar album featuring the hit song Penguin Attack which talks about kicking rampaging penguins in the ding ding and shopping at Walmart and smoking tons of pot.

Being from Richmond, I'm an old school Bohab.. I'm even briefly in the video for meat sandwich.

While I never really got into the music, I understand, and respect the power of the Juggalo community.
I've never met a juggalo I didn't like, though...some I made sure not to leave unattended around my stuff, but that can be said about a lot of Bohabs, and other fringe communities.

Bohabs and juggaloos got a lot in common at the core of things, there should be a lot more overlap in the fan communities.

There was a GWAR-themed pop up bar here a couple years ago and they showed up. Those guys  are a hell of a lot of fun.

I skipped both of those at this year's Fantastic Fest. I need see a documentary about Monument Valley called The Taking, which was good, if a bit unfocused.

I'd check em out again for their final tour this year since Violent J got a heat condition. Their stage show has become completely bonkers since then. The crowd is even better.

If violent J got a heart condition...

Ok I'll just day it. How many people suspect it's from years of cocaine use?

Nice. A friend and I saw Gwar at a small venue here, and were lucky enough to meet Dave Brockie and other members of the band over the years when they (mostly Dave) would come out to sign stuff for fans. One of the best live shows and bands ever, and they are all cool... but have been through a lot with the loss of Dave and Cory Smoot.

not a gwar fan, though I've seen them.

Not an ICP fan, though i still remember all the lyrics to the purple and black album that we all were listening to when it came out in the 90's.

am a music documentary fan, and respect both groups for what they do.  juggalos are as inviting as the metalheads i would meat at concerts for years.  I'll watch both docs!

A blood soaked guy selling loose cans out of a cooler in the back of a conversion van is a popup bar?

About 15-20 years late for a good collaboration.
