intentionally drove toward the crowd and then drove away

I think they mean intentionally drove into the crowd and then drove away.

California is the wrong state to do this in, should have done it in Florida and it would be legal.

Palmdale? They weren't protesting the vaccine. They were protesting the fact that the vaccines don't contain enough meth.

Pretty much.

The rules work both ways, dummies. If you want to run over us, you gotta know we really want to run over you.

In other news, I just figured out how to get people in Florida to accept the vaccine.

I am surprised when a crowd doesn't drag the driver out of the vehicle and beat them to death.

One woman was injured, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The woman, who was in her 40s but not identified by police, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

In an update to this story, the unidentified woman is now on a ventilator.

I still say telling them "Sleepy Joe is sending YOUR TRUMP VACCINE to a shiathole Third World country to save Muslim ni<bong>s instead of American Christians" could work.

So basically, a guy commits a potentially murderous assault against a group of protesters, but the headline takes the perspective that the victims are would-be perps themselves, who'd be killing other protesters if they could.

Nice.  I don't agree with dumbass antivaxxers at all, but that's some good misdirection there, subby.

I bet you were angry at media outlets talking about cities burning last year, too.  Because it doesn't fit the narrative of violence only coming from one side.

I forget, are you the one who condones nudging protesters out of the way with cars if they are blocking the road or is that the other idiot contrarian who comes in here just asking questions?

Sometimes I want to suggest to these hypocrites that they read Animal Farm but I know it'd be for naught because:

1. What're the odds their reading comprehension can handle it?

2. The ones that can read will intentionally take away the wrong idea for their own gain. (see: so--called Christians & The Bible)

I have him tagged in red3 "for saying dems spend too much" from, I think, a tax cut thread a few years back. I don't think he's big on intellectual honesty, in any case.

Drama queen much?

In 2003 I videotaped a war protest, including a car driving through the crowd, hitting somebody, hitting a second person and then driving off with them on the hood of the car. The police sent away eyewitnesses, preventing them from filing police reports.

Oddly, the wife of that officer was an assistant to the DA who just survived a recall election. For some reason, the newspaper here just didn't want to run a story about the hit and run. Oh well.

I don't care who's is protesting, or what -- you are not entitled to drive 2500lbs of steel and glass through the flesh and bones of human beings.

2021-10-26 8:01:08 AM
A witness told police that the man disagreed with the protesters and intentionally drove toward the crowd and then drove away, police said, according to the Times.

That sounds like the person didn't hit anyone, the lady who was injured was probably running away or something and tripped, not that the guy shouldn't get in trouble.

You wonder whether people that vote for politicians that engineer the voting process so that some voters' votes count more equally than other voters' votes will comprehend the message of Animal Farm?

They're not human beings. They're people who are about to die, anyway. Or at least end up with long covid, which is going to cost us way, way more than a few funerals.

If you're going plow through protesters, I don't advise it and wish you wouldn't, though I understand it, having had to walk through the jeering gauntlet of protesters at planned parenthood in the late 80's. If I had a baseball bat with me I would've gone to jail for a long time.    But now, in the brave new Republican world you can and must recite the ubiquitous magic maga mantra words of every God fearing Republican. The consequences are quite severe if you forget to loudly proclaim the magic Republican phrase. It is "I feared for my life"  one problem though, if you're not a Republican, few people will believe you actually feared for your life. Republicans scared shirtless of strawmen and made up nonsense at every turn where they have to carry weapons to leave their house? Yep he scared.

And things escalate more with another genie that's not going back into the bottle.

I wonder if the people who were so gun-ho about running over the libs realize that they were wrong and farked up super hard?
