The Googles Do Nothing: If he beats Alabama he won't get fired.

With Bo Nix? Lol oh my god.

2021-10-26 6:55:28 AM
He did not say whether he is vaccinated or not. He told the media that he will not discuss it with them. He may very well be vaccinated. If they fire him, we'll know. If they don't, then we won't know and he still won't be required to tell the media.

Non-story.

Sure that's a baby's take.

For the adults, if you are
vaccinated, you say you're vaccinated. If you aren't, you can play games and say why you think the media isn't entitled to this that and the other, before being a complete dickehead as to why you aren't vaccinated.

The dumb part of all of this is that I think Harsin is vaccinated.  He is a level headed robot who did good things at BSU, but for whatever reason, needs to keep up appearances so that not to offend all the plague rats donors in the south who would be offended by any vaccine requirements.

Are you trying to insult us both?

He's apparently not telling his employer, either. Oh, and look at that- Alabama is an at-will employment state. Seeing somebody get fired from a $5,250,000/year job because they're throwing a tantrum would be hilarious.

That's not stated in the article. Do you have a link for that because I would like to see that?

This is the most I've found: https://www.al.com/auburnfootball/2021/08/auburn-coach-bryan-harsin-i-am-not-anti-vaccine.html

As a Bama fan, I too would find it hilarious if they fired him.

"I fully support the choice for anyone to vaccinate and I also support getting reliable data-driven information into the hands of those who still have questions about the vaccine,"

Moderna started its trial in March of 2020.  If you're still Just Asking Questions, you should be obligated to tell us what you've learned.

I almost have more respect for a rabid anti-vaxxer who is screaming in childrens faces that if they get the shot they will die, than someone who mealy mouth refuses to say if they are or are not vaxxed because it's a "personal" decision.

At least the one person has the courage of their convictions and isn't afraid of being labeled.

Alright, I'm done being nice..

The guy is a 1st year head coach at a SEC school that is less than 30 miles from Tuskegee.  Anyone remember that little experiment?  Context is important.

His team is majority AA.  The AA community has a historical reason to be very wary of government run vaccine programs.  We have seen significant resistance in the NBA from AA players.  Why would that be different at an SEC school team located less than 30 miles that if the players feel like the coach and the administration is being dismissive of their concerns or pressuring them to get a vaccine that they have options to enter the transfer portal or just leave the program?

Why would a 1st year head coach in the SEC feel the need to get up on a podium and tell ESPN or any other media that they are vaccinated but not 40% of their team, putting pressure on those players to answer why they are not getting vaccinated?

It's not like you all-knowing white people have tried telling them about who knows better before;  you know, "get on the boat, you'll enjoy a nice cruise" or "it's ok, this shot will keep you safe".

Christ, Fark has some ignorant people around here who truly walk around cocksure and smuggy in their own world views.  You all probably think there needs to be a rule against the shift in baseball as well.

And subby, you are an idiot for calling him an Anti-vaxxer.  Here is the proof that you are an idiot.

This isn't an experiment anymore.  Billions of people have gotten it.  The rich honkys were cutting in line to get it.  Skepticism now should be just as strong for all white people oriloduced food and medicine if you want to be consistent.

So, what you are saying is we should ignore the concerns of African Americans because white people are ok?  Honestly, this is the definition of cocksure and smuggy in your own world views.

Ever since we started rewarding public dumbf*ckery with fame and a national platform (sometimes even Congressional seats or the Presidency), I'm no longer of the mind that "having the courage of your convictions" is worth a wet smelly sh*t.

Magnus: So, what you are saying is we should ignore the concerns of African Americans because white people are ok?

No, we're saying that the ridiculously stubborn need to go ahead and die in a horrific manner, drowning in their own lungs while separated from even the final embrace of friends and family. And the quicker they could go ahead and get around to doing that, the better.

No amount of facts or evidence are going to change their mind, because they did not reason themselves into the anti-science position in the first place. Normal people, however, are really getting tired of living through what at this point is a wholly preventable plague, and at this point it's strictly the fault of people who want to act extra special that we are.

So at this point, if someone is unwilling to get the needle, then they need to hurry up and start looking at the grass from the root end. And at this point, I can see the appeal of taking a page out of Stalin's book with regards to the willingly ignorant, because it gets me back to a 100% normal life much, much sooner.

I agree with some of your points.   But, this guy has not said he isn't vaccinated.  He may be vaccinated and have told his team as such.  He is saying he has no obligation to tell the media; which the idiot subby took as being anti-vaxx, despite the fact that in TFA they say the guy has been very conscientious in bringing in medical people to help educate his team about getting the vaccination.  You have all taken his refusal to say to the media that his is or is not vaccinated as being an anti-vaxxer, some evil plague rat and anti-science.    That couldn't be further from the truth.  You are attempting to create a morality mob here for no other reason than he said "Nunya".

He has a team to run.  He is providing the resources to the doubters on his team.  I think he's doing a better job at dealing with people than all of you are.. Find where he has said the pandemic is fake, the vaccine is harmful, or don't take it, then get back to me.

Otherwise, you are confirming my point:  Stalin was a white, know-it-all, busy-body as well.

Millions and millions of black people and every other color are perfectly fine too.

At this point, you would have to assert that the black people walking into Walgreens are being treated differently from the white people walking in 5 minutes earlier or 5 minutes later.  That kind of conspiracy would not stay secret and could just as easily be done to all prescription drugs and food products.

There are three types of people in this Nation right now. There are vaccinated people, there are loudly anti-vax people, and there are people who won't comment on their vaccination status because of HIPPA or similar.

The Venn diagram of the three groups looks like this: 0 O. There ain't a soul alive who got the shots who's saying "Nunya". As a prominent state employee and a leader of young men, if Harsin has had the shots and he's not loudly encouraging every Tiger to say War Eagle and roll up their sleeves, then he's killing Alabama residents. Period.

Unvaccinated people are dying. 765,000 Americans last I checked. How many Alabamans are you willing to sacrifice on the altar of "Nunya"? Because you're obviously good with a leader shirking their responsibility for at least a few. What's your limit?

And, out of curiosity, since you seem to be encouraging Black Alabama residents to avoid getting the shot, do you happen to be a white guy?

Most of those guys are f*cking trash cans of a human being, but they aren't totally stupid... Well, Ogreron might be. No, he definitely is.

But advocating for things that keep your players playing and asses in the seats? I mean. Harsin is a f*cking idiot for not just getting on board even if he was a 100% anti-vaxxer... It's in his financial interest to just say "Get Vaxxed, I'm vaxxed blah blah blah."

As long as he can keep a winning season, no one gives a f*ck about him being pro-vax. But the flip side... doing this "personal choice" sh*t... It has no upside and shows how dumb he is.

Now, if he loses to BOTH Kiffin and Jimbo? He's going to wish he had Covid.
