The list also includes hundreds of peoplewho identify as active or retired law enforcement, USA Today reported.

The Three Percenters, a loosely affiliated network of antigovernment groups, also have a presence in Indiana. In fact, another state lawmaker, Seymour Republican Rep. Jim Lucas, identifies as a three percenter (he even has the Roman numeral III tattooed on his bicep), but has said he is not part of any formal group.

Not that he deserves the benefit of the doubt, but his explanation does make sense.  "Listen you're running for county sheriff, you're approached by an organization that bills themselves as a pro-constitution and pro-second amendment, it makes sense to make a $30 donation."

He's either stupid or a seditionist -- either way he shouldn't be in office.

He was running for sheriff and donated or joined a group that has a lot of law enforcement in it (because America).

Yes, it's probably a lie, but it wouldn't be entirely stupid for someone running for a law enforcement to try and BUY A FEW VOTES in that way.

A $30 donation? I'm inclined to believe him.

Based on my experiences with my family, there's way, WAY too many republicans that have no idea about how much overlap there is between American conservatism and American fascism, and will just give money 'cause they're like "oh, you're young people that support Trump? That's nice! Joe Biden made gas prices way too high!"

"During his first legislative session, he authored police-related legislation, including one that would crack down on protesters for obstructing traffic and another that would have prohibited a law enforcement agency from punishing an officer who used lawful self defense. The bills, a reaction to the Black Lives Matter protests, were unsuccessful."

For a guy who "doesn't know" what the Oaf Keepers are, he sure is in lock-step with their agenda.

Cop supports 2nd amendment.

Laws get passed allowing more people to carry and to carry with greater ease.

Cops become nervous because more people are carrying.

Cops get more leeway to shoot first and ask questions later because of the prevalence of armed citizens.

Not going to subscribe to or white list the Indy Star to find out more about a member of the Oath Keepers. This guy probably gave small checks to lots of organizations he didn't bother to research. I'm much more interested in what type of legislation he supports. I don't care if he bought Girl Scout cookies. $30 ten years ago isn't exactly a ringing endorsement. I don't expect Indiana legislators to agree with my positions on most political matters.

At this point it is safe to assume that if someone told this complete and utter failure of a human that cutting off your own toes made your dick bigger he'd be jockeying a wheelchair in under an hour and telling his superiors that his gun just went off on its own.

It's simple. They hate it, but they don't hate it enough to give up the monetary gains/perks it offers them.

I distrust the government and think it's mostly corrupt. However, if said government offered me a sweet, sweet gig paying me mid-six figures or more, shiatloads of vacation, and all kinds of perks...fark yeah i'd work for their shady asses. Still wouldn't trust it/them, but I'll definitely take their money.

It's simply hypocrisy, yes.

Local crazies on the WUSA9 FB pages lost their collective shiat calling for Biden's head when gas went up 20 cents/gal over the course of a few months, because gas prices are all his doing.  Every third post containing some variation of "Let's go, Brandon!"  In the last two weeks, local prices have gone *down* 20 cents.  Any "Thanks, Brandon!" posts?

Don't make me laugh.
