bearded clamorer: The key is to move the spider to another, less-annoying-to-you indoor location...

I'm all for catching and releasing spiders, but by god, they're getting released outdoors.
They're not getting turned loose again in my own house.
It's up to the spider to find his way back in, or go next door.
They're getting a break as it is, don't push it.

That's why you relocate them to a neighbor's house/apartment. Sneak your unwanted guest in a window, or drop it off during a neighborly visit

A few months back, some guy knocked at my door, and said that the next door neighbor had hired him to do some exterminating, and he could cut me a deal, and he pointed out the spider webs on the porch.

And I told him I had spider webs in the house, too, because they keep down the other insects.... But that I *was* interested in snakes, because I had found a rather large one in my kitchen a few weeks before.

And he said that no, he didn't have anything that would keep snakes away, but listed other ones.  And I said no, I like the ants in my yard because ants fight termites for space, and I'd rather have ants than termites.

And while he's being so persistent, I'm inside my screen door while he's outside.  And it's dusk.  So the mosquitos start coming out.

So he's slapping at the mosquitos that feed the spiders on my porch while I keep telling him that no, I'm not interested.  He managed to keep it up for quite a while while getting eaten by mosquitos.  I was kinda impressed, considering he was wearing shorts, so was getting it all over.

/has tiger mosquitos, so the fogging doesn't work
