Yup. It sure is your right to refuse the jab. And by the same token it is the business owner's right to make it a condition of employment.

I wonder if any of them will be alive in a year or so to interview again?  Just to see if they have learned anything about their decision making skills.

Again, the idea of "forced vaccines" is a bullshiat talking point.

Most of us fit our vaccines before any mandates.

These are dishonest plague rats.  That is all.

As far too many Americans are refusing vaccinations against COVID-19, I forecast future variants sweeping through our country, taking out even more Republicans, decreasing their base numbers. I hope they all die off quickly before a variant that will kill us all.

Part of me wonders if they don't keep reporting on this vaccine refusal to get more people to quit there job via the ally in dissent theory as a social service. I mean, why not quit over the mandate? All the cool kids are doing it. You want to be cool right?

2021-10-24 9:22:29 PM
They act like children, the whole lot. Vaccines and vaccine requirements have been in place for decades. I had a rough reaction when I got my second Moderna shot. I even had to take a day off work for it. It was a little worse than when I actually had Covid but instead of lasting two weeks, it was about four hours. Then I was fine. Just get the damn shot. For you, for your family, for everyone you care about.

People who are being fired for refusing to get the vaccine aren't the companies' best employees anyway.  The vast majority of them are people whose managers wanted to fire them already and whose HR departments are glad to have such an easy excuse to get rid of them.

2021-10-24 10:04:55 PM
The best part about it is that I doubt they can collect unemployment, having been fired for cause.

2021-10-24 10:05:54 PM
I really wish the "liberal" media would stop saying that these people are being fired. They are not. They are willingly separating from their employers by refusing to follow employment requirements. If I chose not to renew my Series 7 qualification and it was a condition of my employment, I would not be fired, I would have chosen to give up my job. I knew the requirements and I chose not to follow them.

Being fired inherently implies an involuntary separation.

Lots of people value their life at zero because they don't want to change habits, like booze, smokes or living on sugar. Losing lives to the virus isn't a big deal, except for the innocent ones that the selfish ones killed.

Anyone begrudgingly getting the vaccine in late October only because they needed it to stay working is an asshole.  Not nearly as big of one as someone willing to walk, but an asshole nonetheless.

Delta was planning to just pass the costs on to the plague rats themselves. $200/mo.

I imagine the federal contractor mandate is changing things up. Haven't had a chance to look.

Nice subby,
Some of these workers were offered routine COVID testing as a vaccine exemption and they didn't want to do that either.
The scheduler lady had no clue about the benefits implications of her decision (she was denied unemployment).
Could there be some pattern of ignorance regarding the vaccine combined with toxic political beliefs?
We will never know based on this puff piece.

Well sure. The virus is 98% survivable so most of them should still be alive. They be long-haulers tho so that's not going to be ideal.

My company is based in TX.  When they announced a mandate for all employees there were questions of "What about the Governor's anti-mandate legislation?"

It died in the legislature that day.  Turns out mandates were supported by big business which means the legislation was DOA, even with republican majorities.

Oh good. Somehow I didn't see an update about it dying.

Wouldn't be surprised if Wheels doesn't try to force it via some kind of EO tho.

But will they have actually learned anything?  One of my kids only learns by direct impact.  No amount of explanations, video watching, etc. gets through to this kid, just direct consequences.

My kid has an excuse, prenatal drug exposure.  My kid has two Moderna shots.  My kid, with a room temp IQ, has better sense than these idjits.

That's why I want to see what is happening with these folks in a year or so.  Are they even capable of understanding action and reaction, cause and effect, FAFO?

there was a loose rumor that if a federal contractor worked in a building, then everyone else in the building MUST also be vaccinated, even if they are not federal contractors.
