Some people don't know the definition of "definition". "Definitive" is a different word. Discuss.

Moon Drenched Shores of Transylvania - Revenge of the Old Queen

The legendary 'lost song' of Rocky Horror.  This is one of two songs recorded for an untitled 'Rocky Horror III', following on from the events of Shock Treatment.  Despite the sound being a bit muddy because the only released versions have been pirated, it definitely is grade-A material.

The other song recorded for 'Rocky Horror III' was "Never Let Your Daughter Date an Alien."  I don't think recordings of that have ever been found.  I'd love to be proved wrong.

For years whenever I'd come home from Trick or Treating, Much Music would show the movie and it was always the perfect finish to the madness that is Halloween at that age, even if I was too young to really understand what the hell was going on.  There were just catchy tunes, a creepy vibe and Susan Sarandon running around in her underwear.
And that's why it's the closer for my Horror Marathon every October.

By saying discuss subby, you allow that you are wrong and that it could actually be the worst movie ever

Why even give it the option for discussion instead of stating it as a flat out fact supported by decades of influence and the like

The "untitled" movie was "Revenge of the Old Queen". It even says it in the video you linked. Here's a link to the draft script for it: http://www.rockymusic.org/showdoc/revenge-of-the-old-queen.php

\also, despite the marketing, Shock Treatment is not a sequel to Rocky Horror. Its Brad and Janet are not the same Brad and Janet as in RHPS.

For a lot of teens Rocky Horror was their first exposure to a movie with gay and transgender themes. It was sort of a rite of passage among my high school friends at the time. People with zero humor won't get into Rocky Horror; the audience participation is nothing BUT humor.

I was lucky enough to be close to a theater where they had Midnight Movies. It was actually the theater where they filmed Mallrats. Song Remains the Same, Heavy Metal etc., and of course Rocky Horror. I had heard vague rumours about the audience participation but didn't know much about it. The theater wasn't packed when I went but enough people there knew their stuff that I got to experience it. It was fun and silly and I'm glad I got to experience it.

Seen RHCP hundreds of times in the theater. In high school I hung out with a cast, but I preferred the audience callbacks. Yelling obscene things in public is more than half the fun.

We even had lines for the AMC Midnight Movie Express ads with the Brad and Janet-like characters.

You never went to see it in the theater did you?

The fun of it is mocking it, while at the same time enjoying the ridculousness of it.  Because it truly is ridiculous.

I can attest to this.  The irony is that while some things are said/shouted by the audience are pretty abhorrent sounding if they were written out as a transcript, the bulk of the audience was incredibly accepting of people whose sexual orientations an life choices were atypical, with a disproportionately large portion of the audience being such individuals.

Transwoman here. I farking love Rocky Horror.
Don't dream it, be it is a message I could certainly relate to and almost was like a mantra for me for awhile
When I Was a moody teen in the 90s I embraced the movie and it's quirkiness and clear affection for those who don't walk the obvious path in life.   It
Was something I could relate to even if I couldn't put into words why. That love hasn't changed in the slightest  over the years even after coming out
Almost was gong to dress as Dr Frank for Halloween but I work that night so Wendy Torrence it is instead.

One of the top 3 most awkward dates of my life I was about 24 going on a date with a girl in Canton, Texas (If you live in DFW, then you're aware of just how country that is lol). We went to the local mom and pop video store to rent a horror movie. I think in trying to impress me with horror cred or something she suggested renting RHPS. I looked at her skeptically and said "Uh, you HAVE seen this before right?" "Oh year sure!". In her defense, I probably should have given some pushback on renting it

It became quickly apparent, she had not, infact, seen it before. Never before had a date been ruined and turned to awkward so quickly. There was very little talking during and after and there was not a second date

I was never a big fan. I honestly just didn't understand it for many years. I was just like "who is this movie for" lol. I knew they did live showings and about....4? years ago I finally went to one and appreciate it much more now.

What's not to love? Region-specific callbacks to learn for every city's cast always kept the audience participation fresh, the crowd was always the Cream of the crop of local misfits and rejects, and if you lived someplace that had no night life it was the ultimate release.

200+ showings for me followed by VERY late night runs to local restaurants to eat the cheapest foods on the menu until sunrise and scare the other patrons, great times. Some of the freaks and weirdos that I met at RHPS have been my friends for life.

All that because some reject kidnapped me from work one night and dragged my ass a city away to sneak into the back of a theater and see the show with like 20 people total, maybe 3 of whom actually paid to get in, on the night that the film broke and melted 20 minutes in and nearly caused a riot. OP/Jacksonville used that same badly spliced print in every theater that showed Rocky for the next 15 years after that and finally AMC got a fully restored print in the early 2000s and NO ONE in the audience knew how to react to the restored cut ending scene with "Superheroes" playing as everyone gyrated on the ground. So many memories, so much clove cigarette smoke.
