From the pictures it appears there was about 10 feet of grass separating spectators from the race. It was never a question of IF this was going to happen. Hope those kids enjoyed the game of Russian Roulette they were forced to play.

They dont have to worry about this stuff at rallycross because nobody races mustangs at rallycross. 
Kinda like how you never see people get mauled at dog shows because nobody brings pitbulls to dog shows.

Been involved in several forms of racing for 20+ years.
I wouldn't have been involved, or even near this event.

Kerrville and Fredericksburg are right where the Hill Country starts to get seriously Trumpy, which is a shame because the countryside is pretty there. I'll still drive through during wildflower season, but I ain't stopping.
