So glass recycling will be profitable again as long as it wasn't previously a Chinese ponzi scheme?

Really? Not even a little bit the cause?

CRTL+F "recycl"

Nothing again? Maybe it's just a short article.

This is not a joke, it's a very serious issue that should concern all Farkers. You see, it's not just wine, it's any bottled alcoholic product, including beer, whiskey, vodka, etc...

Because Cuyahoga Cabernet grapes are a little blighted right now.

As a complete aside, pretty much all of these sites from flyover TV stations (WXYZ.com, WFUK.com, K123.com, etc.) seem to use the same shiatty web formats (maybe they're all owned by Sinclair? Who knows?).  On each one I have to right click, select Block Element a few times and debone the site enough to make it even remotely readable.  Is there a simple way to just block all auto-play videos, sticky elements, etc., from everywhere?

I use adblock plus and noscript. The Sinclair sites load almost nothing at first. Allow scripts for their domain and a Sinclair one, and the site works enough to see the article.

Well, since by law even if you buy a barrel it needs to be bottled before it's delivered to you, I call BS on that.

Florida rum would be pretty damn good, Miami might as well be a Caribbean city. But vodka? Knock it off.

Saint Augustine Distillery Vodka. Distilled from Florida Sugar Cane. Super smooth. Mild sweetness on the after taste.

The stuff I linked is good for mixing tho.

But yes, some of our runs are amazing. Siesta Key Honey Spice is an amazing sipper. Also drizzled over pineapple soft serve ice cream...oh yes. An adult Dole Whip float.

We also have a few decent whiskeys made from the sweet corn.

And, I'll get death stares for saying this I'm sure. Saint Augustine Distillery bourbon is nice stuff as well.

Is only wine bottles were made out of a material that could be sanitized and reused.

Maybe one day.

You can't clean and sanitize glass when you have idiots trying to out do the Tylenol Scare from the 1982.  There have been hundreds of copycats and many of them made use of drink glass bottles rather than medicines.

It turns out that there are plenty of chemicals that will survive the bottle cleaning process and the manufacture's risk is just too high so cleaning glass bottles isn't going to come back in a large way ever again.  When it comes down to food safety risks vs environmental concerns, the large companies always pick food safety.

Aside from maybe coke bottles or other unique high volume bottles with a dedicated return system (like a food service delivery/pickup), I figured most glass bottles were melted and recast anyway. I mean at most glass dropoff points you just tip them into a common (white, green, or brown) slot and they tend to shatter in the bin most of the time. If a compound can survive all that then I don't know how you'd even consider getting rid of it. Also you'd figure it would be controlled or detectable somehow if it was that toxic and persistent. Or they could just not reuse bottles for food purposes. It's not as if bottles are the only things glass is used for.
