I guess this'll be the 4th President I've said this about on Fark... he can do the job from anywhere.  The President kinda gets the whole "work remotely" technology first.

2021-10-23 2:41:14 PM
They really only know one way to do things.

Is it time for how much this costs? I recall the estimate being 100 million a day during the Obama days.

How much is he charging the Secret Service in cart fees?

Bootleg: How much is he charging the Secret Service in cart fees?

I bet he isn't making them rent rooms at his own house either.

You have something against Camp David, Mr. President?

2021-10-23 3:26:31 PM
Fark off, CNN

2021-10-23 3:28:21 PM
The real crime is Biden isn't making money off charging secret service to protect him. And that he is first Democratic president since Carter who actually has a house to go to that is acceptable to the secret service without being overly burdensome to his neighbors.

2021-10-23 3:28:23 PM
How many rounds of golf has Biden played at his own personal golf courses, while overcharging the secret service for their privilege of keeping him safe?

He doesn't take Amtrak?

2021-10-23 3:29:03 PM
If I was running an infotainment company, I would want Trump back in there too.   The last thing I'd need is someone trying to do the right thing some of the time and being boring and coherent to boot.

2021-10-23 3:31:04 PM

Be polite walk on the right: Camp David

A real Delaware man isn't going lower himself and step foot in Maryland by choice!

2021-10-23 3:32:27 PM
he takes a less than one hour helicopter ride to Delaware on the weekends. Pretty scandalous.

chuckdelux: Fark off, CNN

This.  Those a-holes run negative stories on Biden any chance they get.

I can only assume like a battered housewife, CNN misses Trump yelling at them, threatening them and ignoring their reporters and they want him back for another 4 years.

2021-10-23 3:35:18 PM
I'm fairly convinced that CNN wants nothing more than to have Trump back in office so they can make just a bit more sweet, sweet money before he ends the world.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to, but the Secret Service said no way.

His personal home is not a golf club where he is being entertained -- Wilmington is just an extension of the WH residence -- pretty sure he has a phone and laptop.

/OMZOG!!! A Biden laptop!!! Study it out, steeple.

CNN is owned by WarnerMedia, who in turn is owned by AT&T. The same AT&T that was involved in giving us OANN. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was mostly joking, but it would totally be cool if he did - and I can understand why they wouldn't want him to. I hope there continue to be no TSA agents for trains.

This one also benefits from being a very short helicopter ride away. So Andrews doesn't haven't to gear up, and the VC-25A gets to rest some more. Altho, I imagine whey would likely use one of the C-32 airframes for a short trip like that.

But yeah, after TFG and his non-stop grift on his trips, Biden going home on the weekends is a non-issue for me.

He probably already went through that discussion when he was Obama's veep.

2021-10-23 3:49:24 PM
the real scandal is that he gets to take planes and helicopters while the rest of us have to sit in traffic on 404 and 16.

COMON DELAWARE! 404 needs to be 2 lanes the whole damn way.

A customized Presidential Amtrak car would be pretty badass, though. Mount a couple mini-guns on each side, armor the shiat out of it... SAM on the roof?

/Or maybe I'm thinking of a GI-Joe version of an Amtrak car.

He & Jill want to see their grandkids once a week.
That's golden.

I hate having my kids on the highway, so I spend 4 hours a week running with the crazies on I-10. They find my Biden/ Harris bumper sticker entertaining.

Besides, stopping the shiatty anti-Biden, I wish the media would stop acting like it's 1802. The president can do everything they need from any location. They have cell phones and laptops, not horse and buggies. They do not need to be in DC to be president, you farking idiots. Also, the president never stops being president no matter where they are. It is a full-time job until they are out of office. Stop being obtuse and stupid, media.

He might like to, but I would bet that the Secret Service might have more then a little heartburn and agita concerning using Amtrak over Marine One.

Gee, I love the false equivalency between working from one or two easily secured sites, including inherently secure Camp David, and the massive outlay the Secret Service and taxpayers had to endure to secure a skyscraper in the middle of Manhattan, and multiple very open and big Golf resorts.

2021-10-23 4:11:41 PM

whisper in the wind: The President is always working.  TFG, well that was a different story.

To be fair, the ONLY times TFG did any actual work it was by signing asinine regressive ass-backwards legislations that either undid decades of progress, funneled money into his and his billionaire buddies' pockets, or furthered Putin's goals.

It was better for EVERYONE when TFG was wasting his days farking around on a golf course or being glued to Faux News than when he actually did anything would count as "work". Much cheaper to spend a few million a day on his golf fetish than spending billions to undo the damages he otherwise would have caused that day.

Aren't most of ya'll the idiots that demand mandatory helmet laws? I mean, what does it say when the lead cyclist in chief is representative of exactly the type of mindless drone cyclist that puts self-preservation second?
