Here's an idea. F*ck China!
Right in the f*cking turd-cutter.

Lets stop buying Chinese trash.
We're the ones financing and encouraging their arrogant endeavors. Without western buyers, China is impotent.
Why not ignore their attempts to insert themselves into visual entertainment? The porcelain doll bullsh*t that China tries to imply with its actresses is laughable.
Why does every blockbuster film require a token Chinese actor?

I'll say it again.
F*CK CHINA!!
The planet is better off without their selfish world view.

Fark the Chinese government.

We throw around the word "brave" in sports, but Enes Kanter has consistently been that in a way that makes some of the other uses of that word seem silly.  Now if he'd just play defense . . .

"Resolutely resist any behavior that undermines national harmony and the dignity of the motherland!"

When that country finally snaps, it's going to be ug-ly. At what point does the willingness to debase themselves go too far?

I'd much rather live here among even the dumbass antivaxers than someplace that sees us fighting over that and they all nervously smile at each other and keep fidgeting about their preordained day of happy thoughts.

Yeah, but we are capitalist pig-dogs.

Lots of effort being made to start a war with China, since that may be the only thing that keeps the USA from sliding into civil war.

It's going to be a complete shiat show.

This is all a hilarious mess caused by desire for money.

Kudos to Kanter.

It would take a great social upheaval for this to happen.  So much of our national and individual self-worth is wrapped up how many cheap disposable Chinese-manufactured consumables we own.

But if we could somehow manage it, the environment, our mental health, and our economy would be much better off.  And that's not even factoring in the morality of the Chinese government.

Hmmm.

1. Hypersonic missile testing... by the US

2. Threats to invade Taiwan...by the US

3. Nationalistic jingoism in a movie picturing the PLA defeating the US that is required viewing... by the US

4. Belt and Road policy...by the US

5. Repeated state sponsored cyberattacks on US military and other gov sites as well as businesses... by the US

6. Massive state sponsored industrial espionage ...by the US

I agree. It's been an all out effort by the US to start a war with China. Hopefully, China takes over Fark and bans politics in the Sports tab.

Does all this Chinese money have anything to do with the players sky high contracts?

Can we get Kanter to say something exceedingly, truthfully hurtful about American government and politics so we can get Celtics games taken off TV here?

Seriously, though, I like the dude's message.  Here's a man that likely can't go back to his home country again.  Even if there's a regime change, there will still be people looking to cause him harm.

Probably won't this time since he's not physically in China, nor is there a US President in office who would be overjoyed to have him captured.

Lebron made his comments when he was safely home in Los Angeles

If he would have said I would have appreciated comments being made when we were not in China fine,

"so many people could have been harmed not only financially, but physically, emotionally, spiritually"

Which harm did he lead with? He's a business person fine, I think reports were he invested 100 million right before and it was supposed to have a huge Chinese market.

The nba I think was estimated to have lost 200-400 million over it.

You could interpret the "not only" that way. I took it a different way because everyone was reporting the financial hit. So he was saying "it's not just a money thing, but people (he and his teammates) could've been harmed in these other ways."

But I generally try to assume something besides the worst possible interpretation from people coontil their consistent actions show them to be evil - see: Mitch McConnell)

/I also think what Morey said was fine and that if China weren't led by a bunch of hyper-thin-skinned, controlling twats, they could've easily let it go

Sad to see that tencent has its fingers in controlling sports as well as video games.
