Win-win, then?

There will be none. The owner class has been decided for years and they have been deemed untouchable.

You will do their bidding and die a broke and starving wage slave, or else.

On this particular point it does appear this may not be a partisan issue.

Throw them all in prison. At least white collar prison for fark's sake

Ban them from cryptocurrency too.

Bowen: It's absolutely bananas they were ever able to trade individual stocks. Same for members of Congress. Anything you want to invest in equities goes in a total market index fund. Once you're out of government service for 30 days you can go back to doing whatever you want.

30 days? I'll raise you 5 years.

So, what?  This adds a couple hundred dollars in lawyer paperwork to the expense of doing this, and prevents nothing.

I'm not allowed to own certain stocks?  Fine.  I'll incorporate an LLC that I own and IT will own the stocks.  It just happens to pay me the proceeds and/or put them in a corporate bank account which I oversee as the CEO & CFO...

Sigh. You're probably right. More people need to wake up and realize they're surrounded by fraud, manipulation, and legal loopholes designed to make it look like the rich are getting raked over meanwhile reality is the middle and lower class are getting farked by a hot iron. Thankfully it seems covid has made a lot of "peasants" realize none of this shiat is right. Sharpen your pitchforks. Buy $GME. Let's go!

I'm skeptical, because my observation is that the GQP has gone especially hard in the paint for grift and corruption.

But yes, I'm in favor of locking them up. Start with Republicans just so they don't magically lose interest by the time it comes to prosecuting them.

It is truly awful. The name Ivan Boesky means nothing to anybody here, probably, but to think that there are dozens of people running around the FED doing what he did, and they are never going to be prosecuted just makes me want to say that the US is rotten. Like an apple. From the inside out.

You have insider trading at the FED, and you must have it at regulatory agencies, and you have it in Congress AND the Senate. Just blatant. Goldman Sachs has their people in everything. It is just a joke.

And I climb on Fark and make the bold statement that kids under 18 should not be trading stocks on KangaRoo or whatever the hell that phone app is, and people think I am just some crazy old guy.

WAKE UP!

The game is more rigged than it has ever been in my lifetime, with ZERO protections, and huge stakes in a land with no universal health care or social safety nets. You all are IDIOTS! Getting poor because of this system is awful, but getting rich from it would be shameful.

Where does it stop? Who is policing anything? The SEC? The DOJ? Auditors? I truly believe the answer is NOBODY. Absolutely NOBODY.

Sure. But that is supposed to be illegal, and that is some RICO right there.

But remember everybody, the owner of SPANX invested 5000 dollars of her own money and the company is now worth 1.2 billion, so let's focus on that. The media want you to focus on that.

Amen. I'm one of those who remembers the name Ivan Boesky.
