I'm impressed that he was able to propel his body two or three hundred miles per hour back into the plane.

I've played the demo for this game, hitting those stupid buttons is harder than it looks

One time this guy picked me up at a bar and asked me to come home with him to look at some maps. I decide to go with him and once there he turns around and whips out this large map. You could see Magellan's whole journey on it!

Indiana Jones-coming?  I thought they named the dog Indiana?

Holland is very baby-faced. He's going to look like a teenager into his 50's.

Nothing to do with the trailer, but I'm always annoyed when they put those 5 second "pre-trailers" with just a bunch of action scenes before the real trailer.  Are our attention spans so short?

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Holland's really gotten typecast thanks to Spider-Man. They might never let him do a movie again where he gets to be British.

Good lord, that looks terrible.

I like Holland as Spiderman, but he's 100% wrong for Nathan Drake.  And Whalberg makes pretty much anything unwatchable.

/should have been Fillion

10 years ago sure, now he's 50, out of shape and needs Bourne style editing for any kind of action scene.  Besides, this is about Drake's first adventure.

It's for Facebook, hoping to catch you in the 2 seconds between thumb scrolls. Definitely annoying, and no idea why they wouldn't just put a different version up for the actual trailer (probably padding view stats).

Fillion is making an ass of himself on that shiateous The Rookie show. His flabby "Rookie" is the second coming of Horatio Caine, a police force of ONE that gets to boink women thirty years his junior. It's embarrassing for everyone involved.

I think the thing I hate the most about QTR bosses is there is always some awesome shiat going on but I can't notice any of it because my eyes are laser focused hunting for the key prompts

Which is about the best reason to have Let's Play videos that I can think of. Let me see all the cool animated sequences going on in the background that you have to ignore when you're playing in order to not miss the QTE and die.

Wow. Well, there went my optimism about this. We all knew Wahlberg was gonna be a mistake, but I was hoping for Nathan Drake to be at least as butch as Agent Cody Banks.

It looks great and getting the treatment Naughtydog created it for.

They're pretty good if you like Tomb Raider type games. I don't know if it counts as a platformer (there's lots of climbing, jumping) or action (there's lots of shooting), but the stories are decent and the games are generally very well put together. And it is very Indiana Jones-esque, so if you don't like the game-play, you could probably find a youtube mashup of all the cut scenes and get the gist of the stories pretty easily, or turn the game on the easiest setting to enjoy the story.

As mentioned, the biggest headache is the quicktime events.

Yeah. They (the video game industry) really need (as a general policy) to pause all the animation when the prompt comes up, and then restart it after success/failure/time elapse. They wrote the game, I paid for the game, let me see the game.

Only game series that ever got it right was God of War.  Prompts right in the middle of the screen and failure only resulted in Kratos getting tossed to the ground, no insta-kill.

"Based on one of the best-selling, most critically acclaimed video game series of all time,"

Can't say I've heard of it.  I'm almost never a console gamer, though.

I'm ambivalent about the movie, but I've played the 4 (5 with Lost Legacy, 4's DLC that is basically 4.5) several times and played UC4's deathmatch multiplayer with a group of friends since 2016.

They get flak because they are linear (cinematic = you'll have to pass through that doorway so that car can explode so you can shoot as you slide down this hill etc.) but do a good job letting you feel in control of all kinds of indy-esque scenarios. even when you aren't. It's also built around playable setpieces, like a shootout in an office building that is gradually tilting over during collapse, moving train fight, sinking cruise ship fight, the plane bit in the trailer is a playable bit, etc. Satisfying 8-10 hour popcorn games with great writing/cutscenes as far as games go.

Holland is reminiscent of his character here, but wahlburg i don't see it.

I'm pretty sure there's some uncharted games on pc but I could be wrong. I've heard of them but I've never played them.

Looks like they are about to drop a 'remastered' bundle as a PC release soon, but so far the main games have all been PS exclusives.

Not unless you really want to play a mid level 3rd person cover shooter with really well produced cutscenes.

You could watch the cutscenes on youtube and pause them for an occasional button prompt and get most of the experience.

I can convince my wife to go see this.  And it actually kinda makes me want to try the games.  I think I got those Far Cry games mixed up with Uncharted and just didn't even look.

It's Tomb Raider, but a lot more killing of humans instead of endangered animals.

Uncharted was probably my favourite series for the PS3, and this is coming from someone who really liked Mass Effect. Definitely play through the first one. I won't ruin the story for you, but there is an awesome twist towards the latter half of the game that completely changes the mechanics of how you have to play. Makes it really engaging.

In the later seasons of Castle, he got in decent shape for The Rookie and really good shape for THE Suicide Squad.
