(YardBarker)   Texans, Dolphins could have Deshaun Watson deal done very soon, and Tua to WFT could be part of it. For now, sit back, relax, and enjoy an ice cold Heinicke (link fixed)   (yardbarker.com) divider line

Odds on Watson getting punishment handed down from the league the very moment this deal goes through?

The odd of Watson actually changing his behavior and not sexually assaulting more women?

Gubbo: Odds on Watson getting punishment handed down from the league the very moment this deal goes through?

Or an indictment.  Trading for him is quite a gamble, even if you wanted to ignore the PR issue.

It's going to be interesting to see what the final deal is, whether it's more or less than what it was reported as having been offered and rejected previously. It's both amazing that anyone would offer that much for a player in his situation, and amazing that Houston rejected it. Why break the bank for a player with such enormous legal and personal baggage, no matter how talented?

Ross really wants to chase that Lombardi trophy before he croaks, and he will burn down everything around the franchise to do it.  I'd love to see Tua stick it to them, just not at the expense of rewarding the human trafficker in DC.

Is it too early to call Tua a bust?

Please, please, please... for 2 reasons:

1) LOL Washington
2) It stops the Eagles from doing the same boneheaded thing

I said this in another thread, but if they trade for Deshawn Watson after publicly coming out and claiming that Tua is their guy and wanting to draft him, then I am done with this franchise. And I've been a fan since 1984.

No it's not too early, but he honestly shouldn't have been drafted until about the 4th round. He should have sat a full year, maybe two, to really let his hip heal.

This will happen as soon as Snyder finds a local HVAC or plumbing company to sponsor the announcement.

Any team that trades for Watson deserves to have fans burn down their offices.

That picture makes him look so psychotic, with the sweat and the crazy eyes.

"7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch. You know that old children's tale from the sea. It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office. "

This way Tua can be close to his brother who is at Maryland.

Texans should have dealt him as soon it it was obvious he didn't want to play in Houston anymore, which was before the scandal broke.

If you are getting massages for legit medical reasons, why the fuq do you need NDAs?

Packers should have traded Rodgers when he made it clear he didn't want to play in Green Bay. I mean, have you seen the terrible season he has been having.

Knowing what they presumably knew, the Texans should have accepted a bag of used kicking balls in exchange for him.

He'll be getting handies all the damn time.  We can all ask Mr. Kraft how that goes. Oh, wait. Nothing is going to happen. I'm sure he'll enjoy Florida.

Permanent Solutions For Permanent Problems: Any team that trades for Watson deserves to have fans burn down their offices.

That may actually happen, given Miami fans.

I grwe up with this team, with Shula and Marino, and my grandfather even had season tickets back in the 1970s.  But I have never been this disheartened or aggravated or angry with a team until now.

Tua is not considered an elite QB for several reasons, the first of which is that he hasn't even played a full NFL season yet.  Covid screwed everyone over, including the NFL.  We get that.  Yes, Tua does make dumb decisions under pressure and has a history of injuries.  The former problem can be ironed out with solid coaching and playing time.  The latter with a FARKING DECENT O-LINE and pass protection, neither of which the Dolphins have had in recent memory.

What is sad (and hilarious to some) is that the Dolphins have been one of the worst-run organizations in professional sports for nearly 20 years from draft picks to player development to FA signing.  This feels more like Grier throwing a Hail Mary to keep the job he should have been fired from a decade ago.

I can live through yet another rebuild.  ("We've had one rebuild, yes, but what about second rebuild?") I can live with new(er) coaches.  I cannot live with franchise destruction.

As a fan, it truly pisses me off that a team that publicly stated Tua was their guy is now ready to throw him to another team in the baseless hope of getting the Lombardi Trophy before Ross died.

As a woman, I am disgusted by the NFL in general right now.  Trading a decent QB for a serial sexual predator makes me want to watch golf.  I'm not angry that we're 105 now, I'm angry with the idea of my team and its owner--like many other teams and owners being morally bankrupt.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk unhinged rant.

I'm in agreement with you 100%...except I'm talking about WFT instead of the Dolphins.  Could type more but just frustrated lately (more than usual) lol.
