yeah not looking like a problem specific to machines here, maybe more just us and giving out trust in general is kinda of a real challenge.

I was listening to a podcast recently. Apparently when you have a coding style, and you submit that falls outside the style guides, people get really upset when a person rejects their work purely because of style.

However, if you have automation in place to immediately reject work that violates the style guide, people just accept that and fix it and resubmit with no animosity.

Exact same result, but apparently we're happy to accept it from the machine. Go figure.

If you're trying to throw shade over automation, don't start your article with an event that became rare because of automation. Definitely stay away from an activity that almost universally can trace fatalities to the error of the pilot.

Air Travel is so safe because of the machines, when it was up to the skill of the pilots, you had a much higher chance of dying.

Pfft, typical Big Machine talking points. Time we started getting real, salt of the earth, blue collar Americans behind the steering thingy in these planes. Don't want no communist machines flying my ass around. I mean, if I had anywhere to go outside of my hometown.
