If it's always on sale, it's never on sale.

I remember when JC Penney tried to just have low prices and stop with the recurring sales nonsense and they got royally farked by it.

No, I'm not ready for Buy Nothing Day to last much more than a week, ten days tops.  I'll need milk and eggs eventually.

Black Friday ceased to have any worthwhile deals about two decades ago. It's just another show for the rubes.

That's it, I'm convinced. The world ended in 2012 and we are all in Hell.

I thought this was Purgatory myself.

So, are we having supply chain issues, or massive sales because we've got too much crap on the shelves?

Or, are they extending the sale to make up for only having stock trickle in slowly?

Anyway you slice it, this holiday season is going to suck. When Fox News is complaining about how Dems have ruined everything because you can't get Christmas trees in October...

It's a trick.

There are rules to this game and "they" don't seem to be following them anymore.

XMAS season doesn't start until after thanksgiving
Black Friday season (also colloquially known as thanksgiving season) doesn't start until after Halloween
and Halloween doesn't start until after labor day (would also accept Oct 1st, but i am okay with a slow ramp up to Halloween because it is the best holiday).

Jewel had Halloween candy in august, radio stations are playing xmas music, and black Friday sales are starting now.  I think its time we just burn what's left of civilization to the ground and let the nut-job preppers rebuild from the ashes.

Everyone always brings this up, but forgets that they basically changed their entire merchandising/product line around to attract millennials and younger. By doing that, they chased away their existing customers and failed to gain new ones. If they haven't had done that, it might have worked.

Plastic, electronic, unnecessary and disposable.

If we actually needed it, it would never need to be on sale, would it?

Christmas has consistently started in early September since at least the 1920s, and every year we are surprised when the fake pine comes out next to the school supplies.

If submitter means "people murdering each other over a few petty items" then hopefully the answer is "yes" because that's where this administration is aiming.
