All of the outdoor dining tents in which I've been were off the sidewalk and kept clean. They take up parking spaces, but if you're driving in Manhattan, I have very little sympathy.

In my city, they've installed permanent posts in the street, blocking off what used to be free parking spaces so restaurants can use that space for tables, so there is ONLY paid parking now.

And how do I get the city to give ME free rent on goverment land to expand MY business??

Have you asked? What business do you own?

Every Post article is about how terrible New York is.  It's like it's written for people who left 30 years ago and want to feel good about it.

Outdoor dining provides character and atmosphere. It needs to stay.

Fark the vehicles

I bet nobody is going to mention the OUTDOOR HEATERS.    Outdoor heaters?  This sounds sustainable and logical.
Nothing is real to you all, is it, except what you want right this minute?

I did.  And you can take your vacations somewhere else, so that I don't have to look at cute little restaurants in my own town with OUTDOOR HEATERS.
But just like the rats, the city people invade everywhere.

The next town over from us has only paid parking in the historic downtown district, and they are charging the restaurants for the parking places their outdoor dining occupies to make up for the lost revenue.

I'm so sick of the war on cars the NYC gov't has been pulling during the Blaz years I have half a mind to pop some anti-nausea pills and vote R for all things local this time around./doesn't own a car
//having a bunch of permanent fixtures that are actually wider than cars hogging metered parking has slowed busses the fark down, and I ride those
