baka-san: Get ready for the lawsuits

No one has any grounds to sue

His fans are probably the least likely to be vaccinated or wear masks, so I doubt the problem was ticket sales.  More likely the venues told him to fark off

Travis Tritt? More like Tragic Twit, amirite?

/still can't figure out why I never got a callback for that Simpsons writer gig. Just look at how quick and funny this material is!

/wait... I think I just figured it out.

Isn't this the fat guy from Van Halen?

Oddly enough, that puts him one-up on Jason Aldean, who talks the antivax talk and leaves his derp fans hanging.

Travis Tritt? More like Travis Twit.

Had to use a private tab to be able to see that article, because while it should have been obvious he's antivax and antimask, that headline and subhead don't actually say that.

He cancelled a concert at the University where I work because of a mask mandate.  Nothing of value was lost.

Are you seeing this, Simpsons team? I'm already quotable! Big Daddy Edgerunner is on FIRE today!

Travis Tritt has always sounded like the name of a character from a book.  If you submitted it for review, your editor would write in the margins "This name is too stereotypical.  Change it to something else."

I'm not a fan of his music but Travis Tritt has my respect for his USO work and many, many instances of him quietly doing things for veterans. The USO stuff gets publicity because it is the USO but the guy goes out of his way on stories that never see the light of day outside of certain forums and he isn't the one who tells them.

I hope he's able to find an indoor venue that will pack him and as many anti-vaxxers in it as possible in it

"Anymore" is one of the best music videos ever made.  Beyond that, I could care less about anything he's done, even the sequel videos to that.  And if The Dude was real, he'd REALLY hate Travis Tritt for what he did.

Is Toby Keith selling out?
I hope so.

Legacy acts can still tickets, I guess. He's been off my radar for quite a while.

That's great.

But being anti-vaccination pretty-much negates anything good that he's done. Being anti-vaccination means he is pro-death. So fark him.

And have Great White open for him? You know, have to protect the vulnerable within community.

Not knowing how many locations were at universities, I suspect I work at the same one you do. Our 3,000-seat auditorium isn't exactly the Rose Bowl, either, so I'm inclined to agree with subby that it's a nice way to cover up the fact that he was likely to be playing to a crowd of dozens.

Depends on the contract with the promoter and venue.

That being said, some people( patton oswalt comes to mind) have cancelled because they didn't put in policies.  Nothing happened there.  They find another venue.

Difference is I'd imagine when patton signed that contract the venue said they'd put it in and violated the contract.

In Travis' case he knew they had a requirement but signed the contract anyway... Then raised a ruckus to either score points with his redneck base or because he wasn't selling tickets and wanted to manufacture a controversy.

Wait, this is actually news here. Where the hell are there any public phones left? And the last time I saw one almost 20 years ago, it was $0.50, anyway.

Maybe venues should start demanding a deposit from Tritt.
Not sure what they'd get, he hasn't even been an afterthought in country music for 20 years.

Was just about to post "Who? Other than 'Someone so old he wrote a song about a payphone. One that only cost 25¢ at that.'"

And I guarantee 100% it's in his label contract and he takes tax deductions for his time donated to charity as well as his staffs time.

Tritt mightily struck down concerts slated for Muncie, Indiana, on October 23rd; Philadelphia, Mississippi, on November 6th; Peoria, Illinois, on November 11th; and Louisville, Kentucky, on November 13th.

Travis Tritt doesn't play in Peoria.
