It's Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom (1975), by Pier Paolo Pasolini. An adaptation of the infamous book by de Sade. It is ... not for the faint of heart, to put it mildly, as it involves numerous scenes of sexual torture and degradation. It was banned in practically every country. Definitely an art film, not exploitation, but still, it's likely the reason that Pasolini was murdered.

It's available on DVD and Blu Ray from the Criterion Collection.

I mean, it's the Marquis de Sade, so it kind of comes with the territory.

The violence in it is pretty nasty. But what's worse is almost none of the victims fight back, they just accept it.

It's the visuals I don't need.  My brain movie can edit those tonmy taste instead of having it jammed into my visual cortex.

That's one I'm desperately waiting for Criterion to release on Blu-ray. Honestly, they are lacking a ton of Australian New Wave films.

I'm looking at my Criterions and picking out the WTF ones:

Baal
Black Moon
Breaking the Waves
The Brood
The Cremator
House
Hunger
The Night Porter

All some pretty weird-ass or effed-up plots.
