Kobe Bryant's wife. Hurting for money. That's what you're gonna go with?

Well, she also sued the pilot's grieving family.  Either she's hurting for money or just a monster.  The former almost seems preferable.

That "pilot" killed her husband and daughter.

Okay, now that is f*cked up and this is only happening because she's suing a powerful collection of people.

BUT. BUT.

The argument they're making isn't wrong. You should have to have some standard of proof that these photos did the damage to which you allege. And given the totality of what occurred... this is so far down the totem pole that the state will reasonably be able to argue that the grief is from the tragedy, not anything to do with photos.

Everyone who disseminated those photos privately should be fired, unless the photos were sent to them and that recipient filed an immediate report about the activity. However, to my knowledge, these photos were never publicised, never seen by the Bryant family, and really the only reason the lawsuit came to light is hearsay.

Incidentally, I'm not in the morbid crowd like these cops were, but do the deceased in a public accident have a "right to privacy" from privately disseminated pictures? I mean, I know the Dale Sr. thing was kinda farked up and they ruled against the photos being released, but that again was a) a case involving releasing photos to the public (and likely publication ib tabloids) and b) those were autopsy photos, which should NEVER be released as they're part of an official medical examination.

Sure, and the pilot also died.  So what blame does the pilot's wife and kids bear?  This is Vanessa commiserating over dead spouses by suing their estate and when she wins evicting the grieving wife and kids.  Sounds peachy.

Or maybe the richer-than-God Bryant family should realize both families suffered a tragedy and not try to make someone's misery worse.  But that's just my take.

I 100% get why the Bryant family would be hurt and distressed by people passing these photos around like they're some kind of bar joke.

On the other hand, there's an entire branch of journalism (TMZ) that peddles in this type of rubbernecking.

And what did the family of the pilot have to do with the accident.

Pretty farked up.  I get why they have to do it, but, how can they prove she didn't sufffer what is in essence, unquantifiable?  "mrs bryant, were you a little bit pissed off, or a shiatload of angry/upset?"  how can they peer into her heart?  Kinda silly but mainly farked up.

Obviously if those pics were released they would hurt the families of the crash. You don't need an exam for that.
