And why won't Pelosi and Schumer hold votes demanding every member vote yes or no: was Joe Biden freely and fairly elected President?

Not present = No (only valid exemption: being dead)
Present Not Voting = No

No debating, no filibuster allowed.

Yes. Or. No.

On the record, you treacherous scum.

I like how we're able to arrest people invading government buildings now. I assume this is a new capability.

/I'll also wager the average sentence these people receive is greater than the average sentence for Jan 6th participants.

If you are going to have a criminal element of protestors (including opportunist looters), I prefer they attack the government, be it via burning police cars to protest the police, storming and occupying government buildings like in TFA, whatever.

I despise those who smash windows and commit arson and vandalism and theft on some poor innocent mom and pop businesses.

And also deploy tasers.

So, to paraphrase Norm MacDonald, "Trying to overthrow the American government, OK.  Trying to protect the environment, not OK."

Okay, but can we at least agree this unrelated incident proves that BLM are the real terrorists and we should install Trump as President for life?

Oh yeah, the Feds hate environmentalist protesters.  The bonkers sentences handed out in the late 90s and early 2000s to environmentalists and animal rights activists show that.

Because there's not a legal framework for anything like this.  You can't just force a vote on a chosen question and stipulate only yes or no without process or attribute "present" as something else, etc.

Totally 100% accurate.

Revealed: how the FBI targeted environmental activists in domestic terror investigations | US news | The Guardian

Yost may not fit the profile of a domestic terrorist, but in 2014 the FBI classified her as a potential threat to national security. According to hundreds of pages of FBI files obtained by the Guardian through a Freedom of Information Act (Foia) lawsuit, and interviews with activists, Yost and more than a dozen other people campaigning against fossil fuel extraction in North America have been identified indomestic terrorism-related investigations.

I say it all the time, but the goddamn FBI is NOT YOUR FRIEND

Unless they brought a gallows and were chanting "hang Kamala Harris", it wasn't reminiscent of January 6th.

That's not to defend their actions.  But January 6th was worse than anything that happened to America in my lifetime.  I'm mid 40's, for context.

Well damn I stand corrected.

Labor flexes its muscles as leverage tips from employers to workers - CNN

Already on strike are 10,000 workers at John Deere (DE), who hit the picket lines early Thursday after rejecting a tentative deal which would have improved wages and benefits. They joined 1,400 strikers at Kellogg (K) who are upset with seven-day work weeks and a two-tier retirement system. Other unions are preparing for walkouts of their own.

The overwhelming majority of strikers and potential strikers are doing so for the first time in their careers. Many say they are driven not just by wages or benefits. They say they are striking, or planning to strike, in a bid to do their jobs the way they believe they should be done, and to gain basic improvements in the quality of their lives, such as time with their families, which they say they deserve

Right. Unless they were targeting a deliberative body trying to overthrow a duly elected government, it was not reminiscent of January 6th.

Because they have no such power.  The most that could happen is a resolution might come up stating that, which would be entirely nonbinding.  That resolution would be subject to the entire panoply of rules and procedures as any other thing brought before a chamber of Congress.  Neither Pelosi or Schumer can just abrogate House or Senate rules cuz reasons and therefore.  And they most certainly cannot force members to vote.  Any member always has the right to ot vote - and that non-vote cannot be interpreted as anything more than not voting.  You have this absurdist Star Wars Senate idea of how the government works, where every position is a unhinged dictator with the power of summary execution at their fingertips, a bunch of Queens of Hearts lopping off heads like a McLeod at an Immortals Prom.  Which is so far from reality as to actually make the Emperor's rise to power more believable than what you fondle yourself to.

To be honest, I am confused as to why you want any of the above.  You plainly feel that everything should be Mad Max-style anarchy, where you gut anyone at a whim, and laws are for the weak trash.  Just go ahead and demand the brutal evisceration of everything in orgiasitic violence.  Because you are a Khornite through and through, and I have no idea why you want the trappings of weak untermenchen government to bat around.  You're World Eater demanding everyone tie a silk cravat around your neck and hold your pinky out for you while you crush babies' skulls for daring to be born from the weak compromising Pelosism of consensual sex.  Just go ahead and kill everyone with eyeglasses and get it over with.

I remember when the Repub narrative after Jan 6 was to try and point fingers at those TERRIBLE Dem protestors who tried to interrupt the Kavanaugh SCOTUS vote.

Sure, aside for no violence, no destruction of property, and no attempt to overthrow an election, those two events were EXACTLY the same.

Instead of actually fighting to save Democracy.

This one will be easier to answer in a few years when drinkable water, breathable air, and eatable food are much harder to come by. At that point i'm sure the answer will be damn near unanimous. Damn near, cause i'm sure there will be waste of carbon out there trying to corner the market on and sell the aforementioned necessities and they'll of course see nothing wrong with everything going to shiat cause they could never see past the dollar at the end of their dumb little nose.

And yet cowardly Republican politicians continue to hem and haw and shuffle their feet and mumble about vague "voting irregularities" every goddamn time they're asked about it, to avoid hurting the delicate feelings of their fat, failed king Donald Trump and their ignorant dipsh*t voting base.

Make them state who won the election, on the record, once and for all.

And are you really trying to say 5000+ people charged with this shiat count in your "ain't nothing gonna happen" bullshiat?

It took FOREVER before the media stopped calling them "alternative facts" and "exaggerations" and began saying "lies."

I'm still hearing it called a riot and a protest by some non-RW media outlets.
