Well that's some weapons grade stupid in misunderstanding what Y-12 is.

"But the judge was unmoved, telling the defendants their moral beliefs were "not a get out jail free card." Rice was sentenced to three years in prison and Walli and Oertje-Obed each received more than five years."

Good. I'm glad she protested and equally glad she spent time in jail for it.

I mean, except that civil disobedience of bad shiat is successful the moment judges stop assigning punishments and the bad shiat is overturned, either by legislation or otherwise, sooooooo...

Like, you would be LEGALLY entitled to this opinion.  I'm just not sure why you'd hold it. ;)

Meh, good riddance. Sounds like she got a slap on the wrist compared to the sort of hard time I or any other guy would have gotten for doing what she did.

Hopefully St. Peter lets her slap Colin Powell up a bit before sending them on their separate ways.

It's like my dad (AF Intel vet) said about Snowden: Good for him, somebody had to do it, now they should hang him.

She got three years. The Jan 6 protestors are getting 45 days.

Wow, that might be the single worst take I've ever heard on the whole Snowden affair I've ever heard of, and that's saying a lot, bad takes and Snowden are like peanut butter and jelly.

And now idiots think nuclear power is still the way to go.   An insult to the decades of activism.

This is why I find it weird when people try to paint Christians or even just Catholics with a broad brush--for every nun suing for insurance not to cover birth control, there's another nun chaining herself to a bulldozer. Nuns, especially, have a long tradition of community service (unlike many monks, who tended to live in more solitude--how's that for gender-specific traditions?), and so it's not surprising that many of them (though far from all of them, obviously) actually care about communities and the people who live in them.
