Well yes, yes I would.

I've done one of these before. It wasn't that long of a trip, but it was really nice way to spend a day.

I think it three hours one way, an hour or two break for dinner, then a three hour trip back.

As would I

I'd be all about that.

For sure!
A path you don't get to see too often.

Hell yes.

I can't wait to ride the Silverton train again.

Yeah. I would, too. How neat.

That sounds awesome!

Honestly, yes. But only without the kids.

I would enjoy a journey like that on a bicycle taking an easy 50 miles a day. Maybe when I retire...

Sounds like fun to me.  And I live near Vermont.

Well, I'm in my wo-gin right now, but typically I'm only a few miles from Vermouth.

I would go for it if they had the occasional animatronic bear or dinosaur charge at the motorcars. Maybe have a fake landslide or flash flood appear to be approaching the tracks. Since it's Halloween season they could have someone dressed as the Headless Horseman appear and toss a pumpkin at the motorcars. Then right after that the cars are stopped next to a trackside temporary coffee shop that sells pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin spice muffins. That's not asking for too much is it?

Trick question. If I want to see Vermont foliage I just look out a window.

In a heartbeat.

I miss New York and New England so very much, especially in the fall.

Winter, not so much.

That's what I'm talkin' about. Fifty miles a day is easy at that pace and railroad grades are almost imperceptible compared to our back roads where I live. Sounds wonderful

I don't know, but they're pretty serious about the coffee.

We took the kids on the Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas Train and that was a wonderful experience. Still have the silver bell, in fact I use it everyday as a door chime.

I would absolutely LOVE to ride in a little motorcar, so I can figure out how and where I can get my own and explore the rails!

That would rock. Rail ways have some of the most scenic routes.  I would have a camera full of pictures of said scenery.

My parents did something like that.  My mom raved about all the colors, and told me that I wouldn't understand because I'm colorblind.

THANKS FOR RUINING MY LIFE, MA!

My father in law is one of those old weirdos with his own service car. There's a whole group of them that rent tracks to do runs like this. It's a weird hobby, sure but it's beautifully scenic in so much of the country.

I suppose if you hiked at that pace for 8 hours a day you could do it in a week but that's one heck of a long hike.

This sounds like a remarkably enjoyable thing to do. Hell, invite me and I'll pay for the gas.

Unfortunately, there's no left-turn blinker to flash continuously for the whole ride.
