WoodyHayes: There are bigger injustices in the world but I find this to be pretty sad. I can't say I'm on top of LSU news but yeah, as the article says there are other things going on than just the product on the field. LSU hasn't been great the past two seasons but that doesn't get you what is a firing in all but name.

LSU football has had extreme "discipline problems" for a very long time (the players are scumbags).  The Tiger Belles escort service/recruitment ambassadors only sets the tone.   But the Tiger Belle program isn't talked about.

When I was at LSU, a football player stomped another student in a bar parking lot, crippling him for life.

It's been insane for a very long time.  Lots and lots and lots of raping and violent crime and coverups.

Two years of teaching (IE: Showing up a few hours to yell at kids twice a week---weather permitting) ..collecting even more state pension on a payroll.
Then retiring with a VERY NICE stable income of a couple of thousand or more a moth (state tax free) and only working a couple of moths a year. While plowing his salary into already bloated pension fund and having free health care. Why the fark not? It's a better option than most Americans get.

Urban Meyer is going to have his pick of high profile programs to fondle co-eds at next year. USC, LSU and I'm guessing Texas (because they're that impatient in Austin).

I'd forgotten that Gene Chizik coached at North Carolina as a DC after taking a few years off but he hasn't coached in five years at this point.

Larry Coker lasted longer at Miami than I remembered and then took five years off before getting the UTSA program off the ground.

I'm sure it isn't what he wants to ponder in the moment but if egos can be put aside, he'd be a nifty addition for somebody's defense at a big boy program in a year or two once he clears his head.

Louisiana boy got to coach his team to a national title, hell of a dream that came true. At least on the public front it is awfully difficult not to root for the guy.

USC would be my guess, his style doesn't really mesh well with LSU or Texas.

I always said Orgeron should coach at Oregon. The marketing just writes itself!

The local sports editors would start assassinating the athletic department to prevent that from happening. And I'd understand.

Has "Bad Lip Reading" ever done one on Orgeron?  Would they even have to?

USC's chancellor Folt is the one who came in to put out fires after the UNC scandal exploded and Thorp resigned in disgrace.  No way in hell she signs off on Meyer.
