Way back when they were first starting to try to develop an mRNA vaccine (this predates covid, which is in the same category) some of the studies used stem cells from fetuses (I'm not clear on their provenance). This includes the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, and that's why some people are using religious exemptions for those BUT it's not a good excuse because they can get the J&J vaccine -- the development of that one did not include the stem cells.

Regeneron is no different.  It uses the HEK293 line.

If anyone needs a cell line to protest, the HeLa line taken from Henrietta Lacks postmortem without consent has a pretty filthy backstory.
