Sort of bats.  Bats in shadowed profile. Maybe Bat... cars... under sheets.

Too much tease, not enough reveal.  In fact, I'd say it's 100% tease.  That percentage is way too high to make me feel excited about the movie - it annoys me.

I still want to see the movie, because I learned a long time ago not to trust the trailers.  I use other things to make my decision. The people who cut trailers are generally souless assholes who have zero problem misrepresenting a movie to extract money from your wallet.

This looks better than JL.  With Black Adam are we coming around to some new date I say it, good, DC movies?

It must be like college football, goes in cycles.

No.

No we are not.

The new Batman trailer has Batman just walking through automatic gunfire like he's the Goddamn Superman.

The DCEU remains the same: digging through a mountain of shiat to find a few flecks of gold.

Well we already know the plot. It's details missing.

This conformed he goes back to the past to see his mother.  Other explanations for that scene with the woman in the kitchen don't make much sense.

We see quite clearly multiple Flashes are involved.

We hear quite clearly that Michael Keaton is involved, not that we didn't already know that.

We know the future is involved, not just the past.  Because we're told so.

We know not just Keaton, but the actual Burton Batcave and Batmobile are involved, as much as they only tease the second one.

It's not a lot, especially not a lot we didn't already know, but actually seeing images rather than verbal spoilers, is something.

I think there may be elements of 'The Button' graphic novel that has Flash revisiting the flashpoint universe during the new 52. One of the few graphic novels I own, but I see elements of it.
Maybe it is a mix of the original flashpoint story and this future 'The Button'.

As I was expwarning to someone earlier...

Batman is a ninja, not a tank. If you don't grasp this basic concept, no amount of explanation is going to help you out.

I mean...why not give him flight and repulsor energy rays, while you're at it. He's got money and access to high tech, after all.

It's one scene that takes place in a narrow corridor, likely underground.  Calm down.

Wrong. Batman is a ninja...now.  Batman is the worlds greatest detective...now.  Batman prepares for every scenario...now.  This is Batman before Gordon knew who he was.  This is actually Batman in his early days, not just a quick glossing over of those days followed by a jump to the advanced Bats taking on Joker.

This is the kid Bruce Wayne using his money and whatever fight training he has to get into the vigilante game.  It's not surprising at all that he has no nuance but just brutally wades his way forward. I'm betting that even his Batmobile will be not much more than a sports car with armor plate welded on.

If it's Flashpoint then yes his parents are dead but only because he's an old man.  But he's a vigilante because his kid was killed in crime alley. The Flashpoint Batman is much better at his job than Bruce is.

You mean the Bruce Wayne that spent almost a decade traveling the globe to train himself to be the greatest fighter and detective in the world? Because that's been a key point of the origin since May, 1939. Even in Frank Miller's Year One, he used stealth, psychology, and tactics more than full on brutality. And Miller loves writing brutality almost as much as he loves writing women as whores.

Like I said, if you're going to do this, just turn him into Iron Man, already.

So it's the worst Flash mixed with the 2nd most campy Batman in a movie that appears to be borrowing Marvel's multiverse themes (they got it in their movie universe first) to create a film that is 90% fanwank for the 12 DC fanboys that are still unable to tell good movies from bad movies.

No disrespect to Keaton, but I'd rather watch a stabbed bag of fat leaking onto a tied-up mime for an hour than watch Ezra Miller playing the worst version of the Flash in any media for a couple hours.

Huh?  Its "borrowing" only within the same medium?  So if you take it from another franchise but cross mediums everything is cool?

For one story. One. And it made sense.

There's no explanation why he would continue using the suit. And Superman hasn't even shown up in the timeline to justify the creation of that suit.

Point to any Batman storyline outside of fighting Superman where Batman has used a heavily armored suit.

Besides the Azrael debacle. Just one time where Bruce has worn heavy armor to deal with Gotham's criminals. Go ahead. I'll wait.

Love that they announced in 2013 that they were releasing a Flash movie in 2018 (6th installment in the DC Cinematic Universe!) then began filming in 2021 and wrapped seven months later. No real clue on what a realistic amount of time would be for filming a movie like this, but seven months does not seem very long. Filled with confidence for this one.

/Ezra Miller sucks

I guess I have to watch (eccch) the trailer again.
I didn't know he's wearing a powered suit, I just thought
it was heavily layered.

However, If the current powers that be think it's cool to see
Bat Man wading in battle all invulnerable-like, with automatic
fire bouncing of him, fine.
I mean, hell, the last crew thought it was cool to have a
rootin'-tootin' gun shootin', stabbin' n' brandin' Bat Man.

/and to the irony of its all, is the other flagship nigh-invunerable
character that bullets bounce of, they can't think of one ounce
of crap to do with him. (well except kill him off every once in a while)
//i mean anyway, regarding my snark in another thread, godbless WB/DC
with their "when in doubt, Bat Man" ethos.

1) If you're Batman and you're smart, upgrading your armor is a better move than trying to maintain your ninjistu as you age.

2) If you're Batman and you're smart, you don't go up against Superman no matter how fancy your armor is. Unless your armor is made from kryptonite, Superman's ability to go right through it is limited only by his self-control.  There's no difference between cloth and several inches of the best titanium alloy when it comes to Superman putting a fist through it.  So if it's all about mind games and playing on Superman's psychology to survive... why bother with powered armor?

WilderKWight: a movie that appears to be borrowing Marvel's multiverse themes (they got it in their movie universe first)

DC introduced the idea of multiverse crossovers back in the early 60s. They're the originators. I suppose you'd also make the hilarious claim that DC "ripped off" Thanos to create Darkseid.

But if we're solely going by who got there first in the movies, both DC and Marvel are chasing Sony's tail. Into the Spider-Verse wasn't part of the MCU, and all the multiverse stuff we're getting now - Loki, No Way Home, The Flash - just looks like sloppy seconds of Miles Morales's awesome debut.
