Why would you watch this? It was boring and outdated when I saw it in 30+ years ago and it's not like there is a wave of nostalgia for boring stories that sound like they were recorded in a closet.

I prefer the older Peanuts strips that are bleak and the gang, except for Linus is outright mean to Charlie Brown. I also really like the holiday specials. The short segments they added a number of years ago to pad out time were surprisingly enjoyable.

I can't remember the black kid's name. Franklin? Wasn't there a big controversy about him a while back? Is he gonna be in it?

Why? Because I like it. That should be good enough for you, Lucy.

This is some boring old people crap. I'm old and I have no way to relate. It was never good.

Is this really a thing for anyone who cares?   I downloaded the Charlie Brown Mega Pack 10 years ago (or whatever).   10GB of everything they ever had.  all the holiday specials plus a massive amount of shiat I have no memory of as a child.

I still like the holiday ones, for the music, the nostalgia, etc...  (I'm that old)..

whatever Apple...  go F yourself....

Franklin, yes.
And the controversy was with the Thanksgiving special, IIRC.

Those white kids would rather sit next to a dog, it's not a good look.

I did a report on the history of animation in jr. high and the consensus was the Peanut specials set animation back 30 years.

As I recall, CBS used to show them. But over the years, CBS wanted longer commercial breaks, so they started whittling away at the specials, to allow for more ad time. Frankly, if this change now means the specials are fully restored to the way they were originally intended, then all is good with the world.

And PBS is better than CBS anyway.

Yes, playing happily outside without ever having known about the Charlie Brown special and all of its boring, lazy storytelling and shiatty sound design.
