Apples and Oranges. That's the name of my Coldplay cover band that only plays Radiohead songs.

As to the charges that Radiohead are constant innovators, while Coldplay are purveyors of meat and veg rock to the masses: well, it all depends on how you define "innovate".

Doesn't sound like total sh*t?

This isn't even a f*cking question. Radiohead is one of the greatest bands of all time. Coldplay is just...not.

Coldplay, to my knowledge, never made a completely great album.

Radiohead made at least one. "The Bends" is perfect. "OK Computer" is 90% perfect as well.

I like a couple Coldplay songs but I rebuke the idea of the following image.

Parachutes was great, one I used to easily enjoy, start to finish. Rush of Blood to the Head was ok, before Coldplay became rather insufferable.
RH's the Bends is still one of my favorite all time albums.

There's no galaxy where the two bands even compete. Is this article serious?

Coldplay sucks.  Radiohead is the worst band to ever exist.  Winner, Coldplay I guess.

Radiohead is good music for people who hate music.

You seem to have stumbled into the wrong thread. The "Bhad Babie/Cardi-Crap" one is a few doors down.

I'm not sure I could name you a song by either band.  But I'm really terrible at remembering which band did which song

I loathe whiney music, and radiohead is the epitome of whiney music.  Thom Yorke is a whiney little biatch and needs to be slapped in his whiney little biatch head and told to man up and quit being such a pussy.

/did I mention I hate radiohead?

Radiohead, even if you don't like the music, is interesting.

Coldplay isn't. It isn't interesting. It's predictable.

Whether you like comfort or novelty is how you judge this. And there is no "right" answer. I hate it when people "rank" things that are really a matter of taste.

So you're saying Radiohead is John and Coldplay is Paul?

No, that would imply they have talent.

The Bends, OK Computer, In Rainbows, and Kid A are all fantastic records, quite different sounds across each, and better than any Coldplay record (and I like Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head).

I agree overall. .

I think taste rankings are still interesting but only when like is compared to like.

I don't consider these bands competitors I guess.

I see you're a man of taste. A man of no taste would have asked "Tool are pretentious?"

I need to revisit some of Radiohead's older albums. The Bends was usually an album I'd put on for a long contemplative drive or a rainy day. Good stuff.
