How long is her jail sentence?

( ... reads article ... )

Oh.

2021-10-16 12:25:15 AM
Barred. BARRED? Yeah that sure will protect the public from her bullshirt -- oooh, barred!

/how in the royal everforking shirtballs is that not a big fat prison sentence

2021-10-16 12:46:01 AM
She should be in federal jail.

2021-10-16 12:50:19 AM
I mean, stole voter information, exposed that information, including specific information bout how individuals voted in a federal election.

I appreciate that she is barred from resuming her duties, but that hopefully is the first step to a nice long fed sentence.

Oh no. She's gonna get sent to Communist reeducation camp. She'll be vaccinated with the m-DMA. A secret Muslim did this.

lol, for some reason only her county has this problem.

Tina, you've been checked and balanced.

Why are you all besmirching the character of this fine upstanding white Christian woman who has decided to dedicate her life to the ways and teachings of President For Life Donald J. Trump?

The real question is, how is this Biden's fault? I'm sure hannity or F*cker Carlson will breathlessly let us know soon.

It seems to me that this action is pretty much the only one within the scope of this process. It wasn't a criminal proceeding, it was an administrative one. Maybe I misunderstand.

Oh, fark you and your buzzword of the day power grab.

"If this decision stands, it will fundamentally shift the power of running local elections from the county clerk to a Secretary of State in Denver, eroding the checks and balances that make our elections fair."

Who is grabbing the power, again?

I hope this travels uphill and that Watkins guy gets banned from running for the Senate.

When a Conservative or God fearing Christian commits ileagal acts to subvert democracy and gets caught with both hands in the cookie jar it's
just a tsk, tsk, they meant well, no need to bring the heavy hammer of justice upon them. They've learned their lesson.  The lesson they learn is they can walk away and do it again, and again and again. If justice were equal only a handful of political history specialists would know who Roger Stone is.

etoof: The real question is, how is this Biden's fault? I'm sure hannity or F*cker Carlson will breathlessly let us know soon.

Your ears will fall off before either of them says one damn word about this.  In fact, if you really do find yourself being forced to endure either of them and their yammering, you'll find it easier to endure if you work out what is the real fact they are trying to distract you from.

For example, all the harping about the Democrats not being able to raise the debt ceiling and how default is the end of the world and completely Joe Biden's fault.  This is to deflect from realizing the debt needing to be covered is from past administrations, especially one that gutted taxes on higher income individuals and corporations in 2017.  Economists warned that it would explode the deficit, and it has, but the GOP and their mouthpieces don't want any reflection on that.

Just to point out, this particular lawsuit was specifically about barring her (and her ass't) from being involved with the election. It wasn't a criminal thing at all and the judge really couldn't have put her in jail for it. Now, the local prosecutor's office should really be taking a good hard look at the criminal side of things (and probably won't), but we can't be too angry that it wasn't the outcome here. When they don't charge her with anything, then we can get angry about it.

Well they are white derpservatives. Apparently the entire legal system is wrapped around the axle to protect their delicate fee fees. If a bunch of dirty farking Liberals tried to start insurrection they wouldn't get a trial either because they would have been summarily executed on the spot.

On May 17, "Knisley sent an email to the Information Management Department requesting that the cameras in the Election Department be turned off." Knisley's email "did not provide any basis for the request," but the cameras were turned off that same day, the ruling said. Knisley also "requested that the cameras be 'turned back on' on August 1st."

On Sunday, May 23, Wood went into the secured election-system area with an electronic access card he was provided [by Peters]. On that day, he "copied the hard drives of the voting equipment computers before the 'trusted build.'" The confidential passwords were photographed during the trusted build meeting, and Wood copied the hard drives of the voting equipment computers a second time after the meeting.

After the meeting, "State Department staff returned to Mesa County and discovered that the server computer had two incorrect settings" that "could result in a security vulnerability." Specifically, the secure-boot setting was disabled, and an option to boot from an optical drive was enabled, the ruling said.

----

holy shiat, they literally configured the voting machines so that an attacker could waltz in during voting, boot off a CD to run whatever fake election software they wanted for the rest of the election, then disabled the security feature that would ordinarily block that, too -- and they did it all after conspiring to hide the evidence from cameras, which they could only do by abusing their power

how are they not being thrown in jail for criminal conspiracy to commit election fraud?  abuse of power?  violating the CFAA?

Because Democrats are busy infighting and conservatives would use any action taken against them as proof that authoritarian Democrats are the ones still litigating 2020 and are in fact the real Nazis. And it'd work.

"barred Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters from supervising elections"?

Instead of someone, you know, tossing this traitor into jail?  Let me guess, this is a suit filed by someone, but the DA in that area is the same party as this woman and won't follow it up with criminal charges.

She is actually being investigated by both the DA and the FBI.  Of course the local DA is a Republican so he probably wont do anything.  I find it amusing that the people named to run the local elections are also Republican and have been attacked by the locals as deep state pawn.  Republicans are weird.
