Rat snakes are amazing climbers. They also do this thing when threatened where they kink their bodies when threatened.  Super interesting and fantastic beasts.
If you ever see a snake way up in a tree or wall it's most likely a rat snake, especially if it is making its body look like a Tetris block.

I know people have mixed feelings about snakes. Rat snakes are on our side. Be nice to them please. We need them way more than they need us.

They're gonna act tough when they see you. Lots of mock tail rattling, kinking up, and just trying to be badass. They're scared that's all.
Please don't kill if you see one, if it's in the road shoe it off but leave it alone.
They are non venomous and while the bite can hurt you'll be fine.

Here is one kinked up

Speaking of venom, if you live in an area with venomous snakes, play out doors, and don't want to be pumped full of venom rat snakes help by eating the spicy danger noodles.

I always thought Nope Rope made more sense for Sneks than Danger Noodles
🤷🏼♂
But I guess you could say Nope Rope would be a Spiders Webbing..
So Danger Noodle it is then.

A rat snake solved my problem with troublesome chipmunks getting into the bird feeder. Urp!

Yeah - such a terrible job.  And not focused in on it, just walking by, how many people would never see it and just keep wandering along?

/probably most of us
