B-B-B-Baby, you ain't seen nothing yet.

The only 2 people who could make a Gretsch not sound horrible were Chet Atkins and George Harrison, IMHO.

I any of you Farker's ever tuned into Vinyl Tap over the last 15 years on CBC radio you would have heard some of Randy's amazing musical tales. At some point I think he may have played with every musician alive.

Yep and he somehow always finds a way to play some version of his own music on the show.

Sweet, sweet royalties..

And Billy Zoom.

Give him kudos for taste. He picked one of the few 6120s with dynasonics instead of filtertrons. Dirty, stinking, horrible humbuckers.

Oh, and Brian Connelly, who I will forgive for using a gretsch with humbuckers.

Rick Neilson lead guitarist of Cheap Trick.  One point had over 400 of them.  Sold a bunch off few years back.

One of the best parts is they used his collection to relaunch the brand and make them as close to how they used to as possible.

That was cool!

His band ,The Grim Reapers, just completed their opening set when they were sent back to announce the headliner, Otis Redding, had been killed in a plane crash & refunds would be available.  https://www.wortfm.org/madison-in-the-sixties-the-death-of-otis-redding/

They might be able to if the other guy's sole claim on the stolen car was based on some tweaked software that analyzed old YouTube videos.

He was interviewed on the Bob Lefsetz podcast within the last year or two. Really engaging and passionate guy, and you're right, he's got some awesome stories.

FWIW, I highly recommend Lefsetz's newsletters and podcasts. Great stuff for music junkies.

450 guitars in general. Bachman had 385 Gretsch guitars. Which is why Gretsch went to him instead of Nielsen when they wanted to reboot the brand.

His claim on it is that it is indeed the guitar that was stolen from him. How it was found is sort of irrelevant.
