Joe buddy, civility died in November of 2006, when Addison Mitchell McConnell III took on the role of Republican Senate Minority Leader.  I get that it's frustrating when you have two friends who totally farking hate each other - but when one wants to help people, and the other one wants to burn the country to the ground if they don't get their way (which is focused on not helping people) - sometimes you just need to let that friend go.
Yes, your voters will be really pissed about this, because they're pretty into the idea of burning the whole thing down.  Maybe being a politician from West Virginia just isn't a good fit for you - that's OK, retirement is an option rather than trying to ride that really thin line.
Go ahead man, let it go.

Yeah, civility kind of died when one party encouraged Americans to storm the Capitol to overthrow a free, fair, democratic election and, having failed, have not only not expressed contrition for threatening the lives of their colleagues, but have continued advocating anti-democratic action.

But keep telling me how it's the Democrats who need to extend the olive branch.

Newt Gingrich killed civility. Get over it.

Less than a minute later, as Schumer continued targeting McConnell, Manchin was seen walking away.
Afterward, outside the chamber, Manchin condemned the speech.
"I didn't think it was appropriate at this time," Manchin told reporters.

Did you even stay for the whole thing? If not, it seems you weren't really interested in how appropriate it was or even its content; you already decided what you imagined it would be, which reveals a lot about your duplicitous bullshiatting.

2021-10-08 10:02:55 AM
I'm sorry. I don't think I've ever met a fellow human who gives a f*ck about Joe Manchin's feelings.

Performative poutrage.

I'll bet a nice bowl of warm coal pudding will make you feel better.   Maybe spend a relaxing night indoors in front of the coal powered TV, reading a copy of Modern Coal and smoking a pipe full of West Virginia Anthracite #12.

GOP: "Sure we were complicit in a failed coup attempt you guys are just meanies!"

fark You, Joe.

GOP behavior gets worse every damn year. Enough already. If this is the start of taking off the gloves, good.

Yeah yeah, the Republicans pay him, we know.

hey traitors, is NOW the time to talk about your insurrection?
If not now, WHEN?

2021-10-08 10:22:24 AM
I think continuing to harass Manchin and Sinema is a good idea.

2021-10-08 10:22:57 AM
When right wingers embraced plague spreading to kill as many people as possible as a platform, they gave up lots of things, like their humanity, whatever ethics or morals they claimed to have, and their right to biatch about people being meanies to them.

Get farked and die, right wing trash. You're worthless and a drain on humanity. We don't need you, we don't want you, and all you farking do is couch surf off the productive parts of America like the grifting shiat you are. Get a job q-tards. Oh, well, you'll have to be vaccinated for that anymore.

2021-10-08 10:23:38 AM
What a whiny little biatch.

"Civility" left when Yertle decided on Day One of Obama's administration to try to do everything possible to render him a "one-term" POTUS.

Joe got his feelings hurt. Good.

Where was this shiat stain when McConnell was sitting up there attacking Democrats?

His passing is going to be a national celebration.

While I know that lashing out at Manchin and Sinema makes us all feel better, we should all take the time to reflect on how the right wingers are hoping this plays out and our soothbrained friend here has given up the game.

The second that one of them decides that they are sick of this shiat and flips parties -something that happens fairly regularly, particularly in WV -  we all lose the game because that means that Mitch will rule the Senate once again with his diseased iron fist.

I think the infantilization of America started when adults started referring to vegetables as "veggies".

2021-10-08 10:30:26 AM
So a bunch of them did the right thing and voted to push this through, which shouldn't even have been an issue AT ALL since it was Trump's bills that had come due...and now they are whining because Schumer chastised them for doing their freaking jobs?

I hate political theater. This is why I could never run for office. I'd strangle somebody the first week I was there.

Manchin won't flip.  He would go from "King Manchin, decider of all" to "Republican toadie #51"

2021-10-08 10:31:40 AM
Think he'll eventually just quite the Democratic party like Joe Lieberman or just stay a Democrat but endorse all the Republican candidates like Zell Miller?

Irving Maimway: Newt Gingrich killed civility. Get over it.

Methodically, formulaicly, intentionally. It my have been his means rather than his ends, but it was such a priority to him that it became his ends.

Civility sure is gone when you're holding up progress because you can profit from it.

You dickbag.

fark you.

There.

Joe Manchin is not going to switch parties, his family controls the Democratic Party for the whole state of West Virginia. All he has to do is obstruct enough to protect his coal and fossil fuel interests and then retire to count his money in 2024.

2021-10-08 10:32:54 AM
Yes the Senate has always been so civil.

Holding the country hostage was civil, but pointing it out wasn't?  K

Newt blew up congress. We are still feeling it. The contract with America was pure BS and always was. He was clever enough to figure a way to undermine Clinton, and in the process threw out the norms that held things together like civility.

Joe Manchin will not leave the Democratic Party because his family already owns the Democratic Party in WV. He could vote to impeach Biden and the WV party would still be behind him 100%. It's bad enough that progressives have to run on what amounts to third party tickets like Mountain Party or WV Can't Wait.

2021-10-08 10:37:44 AM
So wait.  The person that lacked a spine to impeach Trump, suddenly cares about morality when trying to subvert the US economy.

I think that if you get that upset when a party calls out the opposition it means you identify most with that opposition.

What Chuck Schumer is providing is not any form of leadership, it's just petty sniping peppered with lies.

Until Democrats figure out that this is the wrong time for massive socialist spending bills, there is nothing their leaders say that is worth listening to.

2021-10-08 10:42:00 AM
It ended when Yertle declared the GOP the party of NO, judt to thwart a democratically elected president.. Who happened to be a decent, intelligent black guy. That was the tipping point of childish, disrespectful bullshiat right there.

Then Obama fixed their mess.

2021-10-08 10:42:05 AM
Did a politician, who's literal job it is to do politics, really say "You can't be playing politics"?

Is this guy only tolerated because D's know if he's gone they'll never get another seat in that state? I just dun get it?
