I started to watch the pilot, how can a show go wrong with Natalie Zea.  Now I know how.  I am glad they have an amputee actress playing an amputee and okay, it is a little reaching that she was able to outrace the sinkhole when her family with two good legs each could not, that showed strength of spirit, I guess.  But for the sinkhole to pause long enough for a dramatic moment before starting to collapse again, the amputee takes a moment to reflect on the situation before actually running and still make it safe... It reminded me of John Cusack outrunning every calamity in 2012 movie.

I saw the promos and thought it was going to be a new Land of the Lost. Watched the pilot and they confirmed it as Land of the Lost with government conspiracies and better special effects. It was horrendously bad.

I had a feeling from watching the trailers that this show would look great in the trailers but be absolutely lousy in real life.

This thread confirms my fears.  So I know I can safely skip this one.

There is SO MUCH to watch nowadays, it's just ridiculous anyway.  No one can watch it all.
On one hand, that's a lot of variety.
On the other, a lot of it shiat, and it's tough to decide on what you will take the chance.

On one hand there is a lot out there.
On the other hand, the market is saturated.

Sweet!  We were kinda worried as we watch a lot of those.

Man I wish PS Vue would of stuck around that was the best when it first dropped.

I, too started watching and it started going from bad to worse. After all how does anyone fall hundreds of feet into a hole without even a scratch? This reminded me of "The Dome" which was so bad I watched the whole thing just to see exactly how bad the show was going to get. Its was so stupid watching that gave me a disorder.

I'm still tempted to check it out because I'm a sucker for cheesy sci-fi adventure TV, which I think peaked in the 90s. Highlander, Hercules, Xena, Buffy, Farscape, etc.

I'm watching it as I post this, and yes, within the first five minutes it's a hilarious hot mess.

Don't. In all seriousness don't. Watch the original Sid and Marty Croft Land of the Lost.

Apparently there's also matter transporter technology as generic-hot-alcoholic-dad gets from the Air Force base to the tar hole instantly.

Oh, she was Winona! Even though I wasn't particularly fond of all the fuzz all the men made for the character on that show.
Natalia is a looker though.

I'll be the lone dissenter. It was stupid fun and I look forward to seeing how it plays out. Someone compared it to 2012 and yeah, I see that. The introduction of melodrama is, as it always is, absurd. Like the policewoman stealing food for her self. But, if I was honest, it was easier to watch than Netflix's Lost in Space reboot which I found intolerable after just three episodes.

It's the same absurd stupidity in the Lost In Space reboot. At least it was pretty and the robot is cool.

omg i watched that show last after getting high for the first time in years.  during the first 5 minutes they do a slow mo on the teenage baddie daughter with a prosthetic leg but a heart of gold!  she's gesticulating wildly and running while the terrible hilariously bad cgi is happening behind her. i was crying watching this show,i thought it was a parody.  it's sooooooooo hilariously bad. please get high and watch it.

The difference is that every single character in L.I.S. is so freakin' unlikable! I mean, I literally only cared about the robot. At least the mom, son, and the guy in charge in La Brea are somewhat likable. But L.I.S....I mean, could you possibly write less sympathetic, whiny, characters....for a freakin' space mission to save the planet????

And instantly found his daughter in a crowd of hundreds of thousands of confused, traumatized people.

It's been a while since I've yelled at the TV when watching anything but the news, but this show was just stupid.

/ sad, I wanted to like it
// dunno if I'll watch the second ep or not

I'm not sure the special effects are better. The CGI animals look like those methed-up cross-eyed crooked-limbed taxidermy mistakes you see pics of on the internet.
