Saw that yesterday, the cameraman was an asshole.  Jamie and whoever that guy was would talk about something, and the camera pointedly looked somewhere else.  And never during the whole video showed what Jamie and whomever was talking about.

I think you are talking about another video, not the one posted

They accidentally called Adam Jamie, but I think they are talking about the video of Adam and Fon Davis touring Grant's shop. Adam, Grant and Fon all worked together at ILM and Grant moved to LA and rented a shop space from Fon's production company. They'd all been friends for over 2 decades and watching that tour was unbelievably emotional.

Sadly we just get Grant's employee and zero Grant?

I get that she likely did ALL of the work, but I wanted like one second of him introducing her.

Yes, he's dead.  I forgot for a second.

I dunno.  If I'm being brutally honest, it crosses a line into creepy a bit.

His shop hasn't been touched since he died.  If that's not a mark of how much he was loved by his colleagues, I don't know what is.  I'm glad that they're planning on putting Grant's tools towards a good cause.

He built that Baby Yoda to take it to children's hospitals.  Damn, just damn.  "Taken too soon" is an entirely inadequate phrase here.

I've been re-watching mythbusters over the last couple months. Grant is as awesome as I remembered.  When Jessie came on during Kari's maternity leave, it was sad to know that two mythbusters had passed away.

/RIP, robot man

Looked up his Wiki page, and he's the second Mythbusters host to die.  The first was Jessi Combs, who filled in for Kari Byron when she was out maternity leave.  Her departure was what you would expect from a Mythbusters host:

Combs died on August 27, 2019, after crashing a jet-powered car while attempting to break a land speed record as part of the North American Eagle Project on a dry lake bed in the Alvord Desert, Oregon.[2][3][7][8] The crash was caused by a failure of a front wheel, likely caused by hitting an object in the desert, which caused the front wheel assembly to collapse at a speed of 522.783 mph (841.338 km/h).[24] The official cause of death was determined to be "blunt force trauma to the head" occurring prior to the fire that engulfed the race vehicle after the crash.[24]

Jessi was incredible. Actually liked her more than Kari actually. Kari was conventionally cute and bubbly, Jessi was cute, witty, smart and was a badass fabricator who was able to swing with any of them.
