Brady would only need to lose 7,016 yards to match Drew Brees' all-time passing yards.

All-time means all-time, not some-time.

Stop saying all-time passing yards record when you mean all-time regular season passing yards record.

No sport does that.  None.  Post season stuff is always separate.

I expect the network that Drew is working for already has planned an on air thing  to make the congratulations look feel  scripted for their viewers.

Cricket does. There isn't really a post-season but tournaments, world cup matches, the WTC final, etc. go right onto your lifetime stats.

Most of the current NFL records don't matter anymore and will all be broken within the next 15-20 years since the NFL added an extra game. Why are people so butthurt about who has what record?

Ain't nobody upset at who had the record. People upset at the insinuation of counting the playoffs in career totals all the sudden. They didn't do it for Babe Ruth or Michael Jordan and they ain't going to do it for Tom Brady. Career stats are about the regular season. I expect we will all get over it. Records are stupid anyway.

jake3988: Brees obviously knew that would happen as soon as he retired.  He could still be playing and playing well but he wanted to be a dad, and that's fine

Oh BS, he could barely throw the ball 20 yards last year. It was clear he was long past his use by date.
