How is this a facepalm? He costs virtually nothing to sign and is still in great shape with potential upside. They need a #3 that can go up and fight for catches in the Red Zone, and he fits that perfectly.

Even if he gets popped again in a few weeks it was worth a chance.

Tight coverage and don't let him escape or move the pocket. It's the same formula for beating Rodgers, Wilson, Jackson, Allen, etc.

There's a reason a LOT of teams are playing cover 2 this year - most offenses aren't dedicated enough to the run game to force additional defenders into the box to give you some more favorable 1:1 matchups.

Also, actually punishing him for poor decisions.  Chucking it up and hoping Hill makes a play is Cutler/Favre level QBing.

But I was told he was the next coming of Tommy Brady! He's so cerebral! 5-6 Owls in the next 4-5 years!

Its clear to me that the real genius behind the Chief's recent success are the hot dogs Andy Reid used to devour.

He's perfectly on the Russell Wilson career trajectory, down to the win a SB against the opposing conference's West champion/lose a SB to Brady in back-to-back years accomplishment.

Josh Gordon's problems aside, I would think that the last thing the Chiefs need is another offensive weapon. Maybe they've decided that the defense is just not fixable this season so they will try to win each game 50-48.

It worked for the 80's Oilers. When you got a team with Gretzky, Messier, Kurri, Anderson, and Coffey on the roster, you don't care if you give up 6 goals a game because you know you're going to score 8.

How many Owls or Conference Championships did that get the Oilers?

5 Stanley Cups in 10 years.

Subby, you might not like the cheifs, but the team is doing fine. Contrary to what you pretend to think, losing by one score is not a bad sign. It means you played someone who played against you on the same exact level and only minor things ended up making the games final a win or a loss

If they were being blown out game after game, thats when you have some problems

I'm a diehard Chiefs fan. Been clamoring for a solid WR2 for years, and a guy who's been suspended by the NFL more often than I've had hot meals is not the answer. Don't say the Chiefs are doing fine. Nowhere in the NFL is going 1-2 fine. Mahomes is playing street ball, everyone is fumbling, the supposed rebuilt O Line is not working, and the defense can't stop anyone. They are a fumbled punt away from being 0-3. Yes, they will most likely to correct this, but this is not how a Super Bowl team looks.

MizzouGuy: Mahomes is playing street ball,

At least they didn't give him a gigantic contract that eats up a significant percentage of the salary cap for the next decade, right?

Quit your hyperbole, the Giants were thisclose to 0-3 before beating the Pats in SB XLII.

Granted, Spags needs to figure out that defense.  It's looking like the D of a couple of years ago when they lost to NE in the AFC Championship.

Offensively, man, I thought Edwards-Helaire was going to be their Darren Sproles.  He's shown flashes but isn't consistent enough and the fumble monster's showing up at the worst possible time.

Chargers have always given the Chiefs a game over the years, for whatever reason.

It was so satisfying watching them beat the Chiefs in Arrowhead.
