It's called recency bias.   But you knew that.  ;-)

What a coincidence.  The worst one will be breaking wind at the same time.  A splattery wind into an already full diaper.

Yeah. he was a great President, top ten for sure. But not 'second best'.

My Top 5 (in no particular order)...

-George Washington
-Abraham Lincoln
-Theodore Roosevelt
-FDR
-Dwight Eisenhower

Depends if the Charles Barkley or Slavery Debate thread tires them out. This week is the debt ceiling, so your prediction of pol tab brilliance could come true for bored people waiting for the news to drop.

I agree.  Time will tell but, for me, he lost his place amongst discussion of the greats with his poor showing during Flint's water crisis.  I still can't fathom why he decided to take fake sips of water instead of showing leadership.

Isn't it a bit early for Trump to be getting his library? I mean he might even get elected again, then will he get two libraries?

I've only been to one presidential library, Jimmy Carter's.

Very cool place and highly recommended, regardless of your feelings about Carter. It's just a neat look into the politics and world at the time. Learned a ton, but I love history so it was easy.

One thing I learned was that it was Carter who got the film and TV industry focused in on shooting in Georgia. It took them a long time but Jimmy was the one who started the ball rolling.

My coontitled) script at FXX right now has this as the eighth episode.  The former president, now incarcerated in  Upstate New York, decides to re-dedicate the prison library as his Presidential Library.  The twist is, he's replaced all the actual books with copies of his own self-aggrandizing books.  The inmates now have to find a compromise between the former president who craves the attention and the warden who's become infatuated with a beautiful television reporter, in order to get their books back.

That's the truth.

Probably the greatest ex-president, in terms of what he accomplished after leaving office. Though Taft became Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, also a very notable post-presidency accomplishment.

George Washington started a distillery, so he's probably the Farkiest ex-president.

During the Obama-McCain election season, when someone would ask who I was voting for, I would tell them, "I'm voting for the Irish guy: O'Bama!" It always got a laugh and disarmed political talk.

Also, he didn't send Sherman to kill everyone in the south as well as burn their stuff. Turns out that was a tactical error.

Difficulty: Taft's administration was spent trying to undo all the financial regulations TR had put into place; arguably leading to, or at least contributing to, the 1929 Market Crash.

Also: His nephew was responsible for the Taft Republicans, anti-regulatory reactionists that joined with the New Conservative movement to form the Young Turk faction of the GOP that kicked out the moderates in the early 60's and welcomed the racist Southerners fleeing the Dems embrace of the Civil Rights movement in '64, laying the new foundation for the shiatshow that is the modern GOP.

The only real error Lincoln committed was keeping Johnson as his VP, instead of kicking the weasel to the curb when the South ended up seceding anyways.

Obama was an okay President that had the luck to be elected right after the shiat storm that was the Bush Administration and before the farking living hell that was Trump.

I mean, that didn't turn out quite nearly as kill-y and burn-y as most of us would have liked, but still I ain't blame him for that one.

That's been sort of a tradition.  Clinton inherited Bush Sr's dumpster fire and had to fix it. Obama inherited Dubya's dumpster fire and had to fix it. Biden inherited Trump's dumpster fire and is working on it.
