You'll never guess which one 8 begrudgingly eat if it's there, and which one I'll happily chow down on.

I wish I would get a fire under my ass to go out hunting for morel mushrooms in my area. I'm not sure how many or big of a season there is here. Dried morels are ok, but they are expensive.

Last time I put the mushroom in my mouth was at burningman, and... there are no pictures.

They may reduce your risk of being depressed.

Truth. I have never been depressed after eating mushrooms. Sad, maybe, disappointed (in mankind)... perhaps, but never depressed.

They help support immunity.

Immune... that's a good description, for a while anyway.

The last stirfry had 1/2lb of clamshells in it, along with some broccoli and onions as well.
Mmmmm... delicious!

Mushrooms are gross and the people who like them highly suspect.

Yup. One of my go-to stir fries is oyster mushroom, broccolini, and seared velveted chicken, tossed with ramen noodles in a thick miso sauce. (of course including the usual aromatics: ginger, garlic, a couple minced Thai chilis, and onion/shallot)

litespeed74: micro-dosing?

This is what I thought at first too.

Not to threadjack, but I've always been scared of psychedelics, and honestly every drug ever except weed, until my sister told me she was microdosing mushrooms, via her doctor, to help with anxiety and depression. She's been clean and sober for 30+ years, so when she told me this I was absolutely floored, and interested. Picked her brain a bit about exactly how much, when, how often, etc etc.

Luckily I work in a kitchen, so I have basically an endless supply of anything illegal. Walter sobchak ain't shiat, my grill cook can get me a toe with nail polish DURING dinner service.

So I've been doing it for about a week. First time I did it I think I did too much cuz I kinda got a nice little body buzz, which you really aren't supposed to, but it could've been placebo. Overall, I feel better today than I did a week ago. Again, maybe placebo. But the fact I got a guy that has mushrooms for cheap, I'm gonna keep it going until I notice any ill effects.

I haven't done shrooms in years but only had positive experiences with them. It's a nice quick four to six hour trip best done with friends. Always preferred night time but did a quarter dose at a Santana concert at Portland Meadows once where it was perfect. Carlos leaned into the setting sun right as Samba Pa Ti hits its crescendo.

For a savory high I go with Bella's or buttons on a smash burger with swiss or bleu cheese. Homemade onion rings may also be necessary.

Fark user imageSome people have a hard time with the fact that we share common ancestry with Apes. Keep tracing our taxonomy back. It will really blow some minds to find out that we and the mushrooms were both Opisthokonts. That's going back a while though.
