That guy is nowhere near that swamp. His parents covered for him. Get the forensic accountants to have a look at their finances.

This article is hilarious.  I'm guessing that Dog had someone write the article and a lazy and broke news station just reprinted it like a press release:  https://www.fox13news.com/news/gabby-petito-homicide-for-dog-the-bounty-hunter-search-for-brian-laundrie-is-personal

NORTH PORT, Fla. - Dog the Bounty Hunter arrived at Brian Laundrie's parents' home Saturday, knocked on the door and met silence - but he's already picked up a scent.
"The reason I went to Mr. [Christopher] Laundrie is I carry a reputation with me," he told Fox News Digital moments later. "The reputation is, 'He gives you a second chance. He's gonna get you, but he gives you a second chance.'"

The reality TV star and legendary bounty hunter, whose real name is Duane Chapman, is a father of 13 and lost a daughter around the same age as Gabby Petito in a car accident in 2006. He was already in Florida on a honeymoon with his wife Francie Chapman, he said, when people began reaching out to him to look into Laundrie's disappearance.

snip

Much of the information he's received points toward the Appalachian Trail - where Laundrie camped out before. So if he's not in the Carlton Reserve as many suspect, he may be up there.
"If there's anywhere out there that looks the hottest, that could be the area," he said.

The Appalachian Trail in late September is about the worst place to be.  It's packed right now as thru hikers are finishing to North Georgia.  You literally see hundreds of people a day on the AT.  "Dog" pulled this out of his ass.  It's the closest outdoorsy place he knows of.

Why are they even looking in this swamp??
Because his parents SAID he was there??

What if they said he was at WalMart?  Would they spend a week inside WalMart looking under the racks?

"We can't find him!"
"Well, his parents SAID he was here!"
"Oh, well in that case, keep looking, boys!!"

I have to agree with this.  "If" he did it, he would had to know he would end up the prime suspect.  Driving all the way across country to spend time with his family and fuzz before then deciding to off himself in the swamp?

Not entirely logical.

When I was a kid my mom liked to shop at this somewhat upscale ladies' clothing store with the circular racks packed full from the bar to the floor.  My brother and I would climb into the middle and up onto the central support platform so our feet were not visible even if one had a glimpse through to the center below the clothes.

So I don't find it entirely implausible.

Keyser_Soze_Death: This guy's probably not even in the northern hemisphere.

I don't think he could've gotten out of the northern hemisphere this quickly.  He's probably still on the continent somewhere.  He's too high-profile and not wealthy enough to be smuggled-out.

If his parents have money, given the head start he had, hies in a non Extradition country by now.

What his parents house is in south western Florida, a boat could have taken him south in no time.

Either the police so far are not very sharp, or, they know more than they're revealing.  They may be collecting DNA to match with something that they've found.

Based on the level of attention a missing person usually gets, they may find a bunch of bodies in the swamp.

Does anyone know where is his passport?

My recommendation would be to get the CCTV records at every possible exit point.

And warrants to monitor any form of communication with anyone he knows.

Don't forget that there are two unsolved murders of people that Brian had an altercation with about the same time the police were called for his fight with Gabby.

Gabby's DNA is everywhere Laundrie has been.  Find just 1 drop of blood on anything he or his parents own that ties to the two so-far unlinked murders and two murder charges are levied before he even rises above "person of interest" in the Petito case and the parents are under arrest for aiding and abetting.  Nothing will generate clues faster than the parents' sitting in jail!

Got a citation for that?  I'm morbidly more curious than I really should be.

Suicide might well be preferable to the thought of what decades in prison might be like.
