Donnie, you sure you really want to question the results of a state you won? Given your track record of losing, this just seems like a formula for salt in the wound. And not like table salt or kosher, but like rock salt from a 12 gauge.

We find out the election was full of fraudulent Trump ballots and Biden wins Texas.

Abbott's office referred questions about the audit to the secretary of state's office. The secretary of state job is currently vacant in Texas and other officials in that office did not respond to requests for comment.

What a shiat show.

Trump has given cover for Republicans to play out their worst tendencies regarding voter suppression -- what they're doing now has probably been discussed for years.

Trump is like a catalyst -- he's probably accelerated these GOP plans by 10 years 🙄

Supposedly it's the "fact sheet" from the Arizona audit findings.  And people just accepted that and are talking about the need for revolution, or at least the need to "audit" Detroit, Ann Arbor, Traverse City, and Flint to prove Trump actually won here too.

It feels like we used to disagree, but we all worked off the same facts.  You'd have vastly different interpretations of what those facts meant and how to change them, or even what you should change them to.  But it was all the same reality.  We don't live in the same reality anymore, they just make up there own.  And I'm not sure how to reconcile that.

"It feels like we used to disagree, but we all worked off the same facts"

This is what has changed in the US since Trump showed up -- I've been saying if for over 5 years, now:  there is no longer an agreed upon set of facts in any narrative -- throw in wilful ignorance and cognitive dissonance, and you have a real recipe for gaslighting.

The only mandate Abbott likes is the unfunded mandate.

He took local school tax money and made it his, to decree that schools must endanger children by not having rules about masks.  He's trying to extort money from the federal government, using RefugeeRage®, a tried and true way to crowdsource his own personal pile of money to build a wall and buy influence.

Now he's going after election boards as the prequel to sending agents provocateur to every polling site that may not engineer a GOP victory in the next elections.  He's going to cost them money that would otherwise increase the voter turnout.

2021-09-25 9:52:46 AM

By all means, keep going.

2021-09-25 10:23:15 AM
They're not gonna find fraud, they're not even really there to look for fraud.  They're doing a fraudit only so more voters, in Texas and in other states, will start saying "We can't trust elections" between now and next year's elections.  And if you can't trust elections then you have to kill people until your guy is in charge, as is the custom throughout history.  Republicans are OK with that.

I see an issue here.  The SOS, an elected official, not appointed, has the authority to order these audits, yet the former GQP SOS says the election was without issue.  They are now gone and the office is vacant.  Who ordered the audits and under what authority?  It would be unseemly to have an unelected beaurocrat do so when such authority was deliberately placed in an  office elected by the people.  Isn't that big government interference in county affairs?

And in Texas he has a decent chance of getting Greg and Dan to go along with it.  And somehow the "liberal" media will fail to note that Republican States cheated for Republicans but the legislation is meant to help Republicans.

Look for a sharp wave of suppression to occur during the Republican primaries.  Primaries are where things get nasty and internecine.

The verbal attacks meant for the general public point toward the Democratic side, but the real action tends to be amongst the GOP-grifting-death cult.

The interesting thing I'm waiting for is when they start alleging election fraud by the County Elections Departments.  That's gonna be extra fun.  Abbott has enabled every gun-toting loon to be a Poll Watcher and when they fail to find fake voters at the polls they'll vote their guns to the Elections Office to ask why the results still come up 'wrong'.

The Secretary of State has the authority to impose an audit, but does the Department have that power without him or an 'acting' Secretary?  That would be hilarious if the first court to hear anything about this shiatcans the whole thing because nobody has the authority because Abbott's an asshole.
