A terrorist supporting POS republican complaining that Dems don't want to destroy democracy. Never negotiate with terrorists publicly and republicans are terrorists.

Actually the Democrats are bending over backwards to pass your watered down shiat, asshole.

If you want to shed some real tears we can have a deek measuring contest just about any old time.

Every Democrat that pushes for 'bipartisanship' with the GQP should be slapped across the face too. Bipartisanship is only worthwhile if both of the parties involved are acting in good faith. Republicans want, and will settle for, nothing less than absolute power, and as such will not negotiate honestly.

The only two parties that should be negotiating are the conservative Dems and progressive Dems. The Republicans need to be, at minimum, shut out entirely.

Well, if any of the other times a bipartisan conversation was attempted by the Democrats, the Republicans had honestly brought something to the table ("no" isn't bringing something to the table) and not moved the goal posts when they got something they wanted, maybe this wouldn't be happening.

So, well, well, well, Republicans, if it isn't the consequences of your own actions.

Every bleating dumbshiat who says the word 'bipartisanship' should be asked, "what would the Republicans have to do before you admit that they are not acting in good faith or interested in any form of bipartisanship?"

The majority didn't vote for bipartisanship.

You're not wrong, but I would add that any Republican that actually wants to sit at the table and negotiate like an adult is welcome, just that until they are willing to negotiate like an adult, GTFO. This bullshiat of doing anything but the most extreme conservative position or walking away from the table, or negotiating a watered down bill then refusing to support it or vote for it has to farking stop. At least Manchin, when he negotiates his abomination of a compromise will come to the table with a vote for the final passage, republicans have pulled the football way to many times and fark them until they start acting like farking adults. Show us you are serious by supporting judicial reform to unfark our court systems and police reform to unfark our enforcement system and finally voting rights to unfark your farked up voter suppression schemes and then we can talk about a real bi-compromise on something if you are actually willing to come to the table, but until then GTFO.

/this bullshiat of never willing to vote for taxes or to reduce military spending also needs to go, especially if you want to get everyone's panties in a twist over the national debt. Heaven forbid you tax a corporation an extra quarter percent on their billions of dollars in profits or stop spending billions on weapons systems the pentagon didn't ask for, but god forbid we suggest a poor person not starve to death during a pandemic.

The whores taking the Koch and Sackler money say no.

Please God let the Democrats expand to 52 in 2022... the Senate map is favorable enough that that's not impossible.

They lost the election. They are farkin losers. Good day, sir!

2021-09-23 11:51:55 PM
Everyone else already knows and their supporters don't care. And it doesn't matter because as long as they have that 20% that's all they need to maintain control because things are so gerrymandered and farked that we allow it to be that way.

2021-09-23 11:53:00 PM
McConnell straight up said that anything the Democrats do, they'll have to do on their own... I don't think anyone is buying this notion that things could have been bi-partisan except Joe Manchin, who's paid off specifically to pretend that there ever was a chance.

Bipartisanship means doing everything the gop wants, including nullifying the election.

2021-09-24 12:05:01 AM
Remember when republicans tried to ignore the law and paint democratic citizens of the United States as enemies then organized a mob to try to instill chaos and kill the vice president so they could use it as an excuse to rule with total power?

We should be throwing all those people in jail never to see the light of day again.

No one who had anything to do with the January 6 insurrection should be allowed near a government building and all politicians should be taking action to show America that they can be trusted with our system of government.

That would be the bipartisanship we need.

2021-09-24 12:10:55 AM
If the GOP isn't screaming like toddlers that we're completely ignoring their wishes, we're not trying to ignore their wishes hard enough.

You guys are losing both the House and Senate next year.  Biden's approval is between 39-42% depending on what poll you believe.

I think it's pretty well established that when Republicans say bipartisanship, they mean "do it our way."

2021-09-24 1:23:18 AM
Well, after today we do have three things passed so far this year that were bipartisan: withholding funds from municipalities that defund police, money for CIA agents with "Havana syndrome (aka hangovers), and Iron Dome. Yup, this is the bad place.

The dead aren't voting (Donzo's own Homeland Security bod said so); so we'll see.  Plenty of time for more plague rats to dive into nice, quiet, holes in the ground, prior to the jacking of levers in '22.  Maybe R's will start spitting out another more "intense" variant from their unvaccinated obese bioreactor selves (MERS CO-V - close relative of da covid, kills off 35% of those who imbibe - if it was catchy like the Delta?  Could happen tomorrow - not a good look for the Party).

/should have a few "coat hanger" abortion tales out of TX by Next Nov. as well (used to post a few photos of such in Life magazine, back before ROE). Even good percentage of R soccer moms no like

Its not just that they are doing this.
It's that they ate doing it again.
Pretend to negotiate in good faith.
End negotiations saying it's all the Dems fault due to lack of bipartisanship.
Claims their success at tanking everything means that the Dems aren't doing anything.
Repeat.
Endlessly.
Cos it works.

The Republican definition of bipartisanship is for the democrats to sign off on everything the Republicans want.

We really need someone to slap their faces off every time they say this. Someone with a big, meaty hand that might just cave in their skulls if their bodies weren't so quick to collapse, not providing enough resistance for skull fragmentation.
