A number of important things, none of which can be delved into due to Diablo II Resurrected being downloaded a few moments ago. This was gathered while trying to track down what MOS he is which yes, is vitally important.

Lieutenant Colonel Paul Douglas Hague is in the Army Reserves and not the Army, as per one big boy outfit though it is not stated in others. LTC Hague went into the Reserves in 2008, assuming this is correct.

In an undated Class A shot, he had Signal Corps branch insignia on. In a BDU shot which only showed a sliver of him, he had an EIB on his righthand side (que?), though I assume it was a reversed shot. In an ACU shot when he was a Major, he had a CIB where it should be.

Not being overly knowledgeable of the Reserves, or how the process works for officers, what I assume happened is that there were no Infantry slots available and he went Signal Corps.

So yeah, Diablo II Resurrected awaits after I drop a deuce so it is my fervent hope that I did my part in contributing to misinformation by screwing up two entirely different gentlemen of the O-5 rank and by not proofreading anything.

"So it's really not about whether or not I'll get the shot. This is really about the freedom of the American people," he continued. "The right to choose your own medical procedures. The right to decide what's gonna be injected into your body and what's not. That's a natural human right that we can't take away from people. And I swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution which affords those rights to the Americans."

I like that even he can't get passed the complete lack of internal logic here, so he just hangs his hat on some bullshiat notion of "freedom".

Hague said he objected to the Pentagon's mandatory COVID-19 vaccination order and would rather quit the military after 18 years of service, and two years prior to retirement, than be inoculated from the disease with shots that have been safely administered to billions of people worldwide and proven to break the link between transmission and serious illness and death. Hague submitted his resignation last week.

Wow, that is breathtakingly stupid. Perhaps even more so if he gets COVID

Don't know about the Army but as I recall, the Naval reserve officers didn't attend the academy. That was pretty much it. I could be wrong.

My uncle was a Naval reserve officer but not because he was a reservist, if that makes sense.

I really am at a loss for how this whole vaccine thing turned out.  Is it just because it was sold to the public as. "you HAVE to do this"?  I know part of it is because the right wing media immediately made it sound like "Emergency authorization" means the same thing as "this thing hasn't been tested.  Good luck to you!"

I remember when they were still building the vaccine.  And Drumpf was taking credit how how fast it was going.  And when it finally got out there, it was all you could do to find a way to GET the vaccine.

Then the right wing media started in with their bullshiat, turned it into a "freedom" issue, and made it out to be a badge of honor to be that person that DIDN'T get the vaccine.

I don't think I've seen another such example of any event like this in all of history.

We literally have two sides of this argument.  One based on fact, the other based purely on belief.  And as we all know, you cannot change the mind of someone who "believes".  No matter how much compelling evidence you show.

I did as well when I deployed to Afghanistan in 2012. Didn't get the smallpox vaccine cause who needs a smallpox vaccine nowadays? My blood was tested for antibodies against everything else, and whatever came back negative I had to get a shot for it before I could get on the plane to Kuwait. They must have given me three or four at once.

This right here is the crux of the problem. Media nowadays isn't about informing the public. It's about making money. Murdoch and his clan of assholes have figured out that they can make a hell of a lot more money by becoming a 24-hour firehose hooked up to a bottomless bullshirt hydrant than they can by informing the public. If they kill hundreds of thousands of people and permanently maim millions more, they don't care so long as they keep making money.

If you're not sure I'm right about this, consider when polio was deemed eradicated across the Americas (August 1994) and when Fox News first started broadcasting (October 1996).

Well, he's gonna grift, but happily it will mostly be on conservative outlets which cater to his ilk. And he'll make far more money than he ever would have gotten if he retired at 20 (as active or reserve). And he'll probably run for office. And he'll likely contract COVID, retract his position (or double down; it's 50/50) just prior to getting put on the vent, and then he'll die. TaDaaaa!
