So he's the guy to sue for all those DUI traffic problems, I presumed.

Seven dollars for Coors Light should be a crime in and of itself.

/That sentence may be three words too long.

Oregon.  Duh.

Too bad rents aren't stuck there... $2000/mo will get you something reasonable.  Everything less than that probably has some serious code violations or is a studio.

The IPA to Coors Light ratio gives me hope.

Seriously. The last time a friend and I went to a hockey game two beers and two half-smokes was $45

I like to go on Fridays, we have $1 hotdogs, $2 pop, and $3 beers. I skip the beer because it's domestic light lager but if you want to go to a sporting event and drink it's the best deal around.

It does if you believe the identity of a university is embodied in it's sportsball gladiators and that teaching people is secondary.

Oregon tax payers picked up this beer tab, along with the rest of Barnum's salary, at the direct expense of teacher salaries and education funding.

Heroes indeed.

Hillsboro 😆

Does Hillsboro Stadium even really count considering that the concrete grandstands built into the side of the pool building at the Howard Terpanning Recreation Complex in Beaverton was higher capacity?  I mean, Hillsboro Stadium had temporary grandstands like a high school football field until like 2008....

Or if you realize that football makes way, way more money. But sometimes only thinking from your point of view isn't seeing the whole picture.

Think of how much more they could make by putting their coach in his proper place on the pay scale and not covering up crimes for the team.

Hare Field is a high school sports complex, though.  It's actually a good thing that Hillsboro School District makes all their schools home at the same field.  Plus it's a nice park on the off days.

But then (now think this out) with a bad coach, they won't make as much money. Sometimes, you have to spend money, to make money. And yes, they want to make money.

Bear in mind I'm working off of memories from 25 or so years ago but we *hated* sharing a home field. I remember being so jealous when we went to marching band competitions at other schools and they had their own, nicer facilities.

I thought the school district was using the stadium for sports? Did that change or did I imagine it?

Hare Field?  Yeah, they still use it for sports.  I went to Merlo Station in the technology and environmental science magnet, Hydroponic Field sucked.  Barely had enough room for an Ultimate field.

LOL I was jealous of Glencoe because *everything* they had was nicer than Hilhi. Except the actual building, which is still the ugliest school I've ever seen.

Hoo boy, if you think Glencoe is ugly, go take a look at the 4th floor of Beaverton High School, which somehow manages to make the main building (floors 1 and 2, there is no 3, they stopped trying to rebuild the 3rd floor the 4th time it caught fire) look good by comparison.  Or just look at some of the Tulsa Public Schools.  You can easily tell which ones used to be indian resident schools because they look like depression era prisons just plunked in the middle of a neighborhood (and when they were resident schools, they effectively were concentration camps for indian kids).  Not that Merlo Station is good looking, it was Tektronix Warehouse #62 before before they renovated it to be a high school for the BSD.  The only windows are up front where the offices were when it was a warehouse, which when I went there was the front entrance, the library, and the space used by the district's Continuing Education for Young Parents program.
