Praise Jeebus!  I knew the thoughts and prayers would work!  I'm so happy that this disgustingly slovenly, fat loaf of bad ideas didn't serve as a cautionary to the other fat, stupid Wisconsinites.

He and his family wish to thank everyone for the prayers and good wishes that are making his recovery possible

Not the ivermectin?

Congrats on your good health. Try not to be such a douchebag going forward.

$5 says he's still anti-vax/anti-mask. If he hasn't been vaccinated yet we'll get to see him do this again.

TFA is Fox News' rosy take

> (WLUK) -- A Northeast Wisconsin lawmaker has been discharged after more than a month in the hospital with COVID-19.

Let's see what a different source says. Oh, he is still hospitakized, just not in the ICU

Sen. André Jacque transferred to care facility after month-long stay in hospital

Tompach later confirmed Jacque had been transferred to the new facility "to continue the rehabilitation phase of his recovery." He did not say what kind of facility.

Tompach said Jacque will need time to recover from the ordeal through respiratory and occupational therapy. He did not say whether he still needed assistance breathing.

It's unclear whether Jacque was vaccinated - Jacque nor his office has answered that question.

Certainly not the doctors, science, and technology.

Nope. Prayers.

Inject monoclonal antibodies into one vein and stuff shiat in the other. See which one fills up first.

I feel like pithily posting that study that posits people who catch covid get dumb-dumbs, but I am too lazy to go find it.

Anyways, it's a Wisconsin Republican so yeah. Glad he's feeling better, sorry he got immunity the hard way.

Jacque has been opposed to face mask and vaccine mandates during the pandemic. A few days before he tested positive, Jacque attended a packed committee meeting at the state Capitol without wearing a mask.

Fat bastard with too many kids never should have had access to a ventilator.

I could feel my blood pressure skyrocketing reading that. why was he taking up a hospital bed if it was thoughts and prayers that saved him? especially because, according to the douche himself, his only symptom was fatigue. though I guess being on a ventilator is one way to ensure getting rest.

After a month in the hospital, physical therapy is a given. You lose leg muscles really quick.

A high school classmate got the virus last year and spent 2 weeks in the hospital and one week on a ventilator. He didn't have to go to physical therapy, but said for the first two weeks, just walking from the living room to the kitchen was exhausting. Not a great sign for a 45-year old who was in a lot better shape than this guy.

dericwater: COVID, you had ONE job.

Post infection immunity isn't permanent. That buys him maybe a few months. He'll catch it again, but when that happens, he'll be going in with considerable lung damage.

His family shouldn't lose the funeral home's number just yet.

There's a very good chance that he was shedding virus particles there. Was the rest of the committee vaccinated?

He might be in an inpatient rehabilitation facility.

Those are for patients who no longer require active medical intervention, are debilitated enough that they cannot return home because of the burden of care, and have potential to improve enough that they can eventually go home.

He was on a vent for weeks. He probably is too weak to haul his own bulk around, and his insurance won't cover Ixian suspensors like Baron Harkonnen's.

His choices were:

Get vaccinated, no out-of-pocket costs to him, maybe $40.00ish costs borne by us, keep living his best life, worst possible risks are avoided

vs.

Don't get vaccinated to make a partisan political point, risking all of the bad things that eventually happened to him, almost killing him, most likely ruining his quality of life forever, costing him thousands and forcing the rest of us to bear hundreds of thousands of the rest of the costs, relationships with a couple family members destroyed

How can anyone trust him to make the best decisions on governmental matters having witnessed this colossal decisionmaking farkup?

Fingers crossed.

I saw this news yesterday after wondering what was happening with the guy. I told my wife we can bet that after being fully insured on the state health plan for his month plus of treatment, we can be assured he will still vote against any expansion of BadgerCare.

After a month of being on a vent which means he was in a medically induced coma, which means his ass had to get flipped manually. He's probably got some delicious bed sores, brain damage due to low blood oxygen, immensely scarred lungs to the point of needing supplemental oxygen all of the time to even sit up or walk, and destroyed kidneys from all the drugs they had to constantly pump into him.

But hey, at least he probably lost a lot of weight due to not being able to eat for a month and he stug it to the libs. He won. Suck it libs. I know I feel owned.
